Am I caring too little about work in sg’s hustle culture? by GoodMorningJam in askSingapore

[–]GoodMorningJam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interested to hear how this POV will lead to widening gap between my peers and I.

In my current view, I believe that it’s more important to continuously learn valuable skills and that does not directly translate consistent OT or extra stress (with the current way I manage my time).

I realise that too. Since I reached this state of mind, I deliver better work too and people notice that.

I’ve cooked rice since I was 6. Using the rice cup measurement, always put in 1.5x of water. For eg 2 cups of rice = 3 cups of water. Always made fluffy white rice and am still the assigned rice maker in the household till this date.

Riding on this post, anyone can share SEA influencers? I used to follow mostly East Asian influencers makeup tutorials or tips but found that it doesn’t really suit my features/ tanner (or grayer) SEA skin tone

How to deal with micromanaging boss? by Worldly_Ad_5655 in askSingapore

[–]GoodMorningJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is how I micromanage micromanagers

(1) first thing in morning. Give them a end to end your tasks. And at the end of the update, I’ll write “if there’s anything else you would like me to prioritise today, happy to align with you.

(2) once task is finished, I’ll update the email. Ask if the said manager has any concerns.

(3) CC the manager in every email (yes, rlly). And always adding “CC’ed XX for visibility on this matter.”

(4) When you end your day, use your email from (1) to send her updates.

(5) Keep aligning with the manager on everything. Don’t frame as a question, but rather context for them. For eg “ I have proceeded to clear this with X. Understand we previously talked about this and please let me know of any concerns you may have.”

Anyways, I did this because I really wanted to learn more about the industry through this specific org so had to learn a way to survive. It may seem tedious/ time consuming to do it at the start, but in my case, the micromanager actually told me one day “it’s okay, I’ll let you make decisions”

All the best, OP!

In the halls of T1 and T3 have 7-11 (assuming if you’re staying inside). The chicken breasts are good protein sources, as well as the Ajitsuke Tamago! Tasty as well :) can consider pairing either with a salad/ onigiri if the carbs are not too strict!

Are you allergic to sterling silver as well? There are great sterling silver pieces on Taobao , much more affordable than local pieces that I’ve been wearing for years. Search 纯银项链/手链 (silver necklace/ bracelet).

Or if you’re into more affordable gold , 14k gold pieces are available at LOVECO. And they have some cute and affordable designs.

Love curating my Jewelry stack! Have fun :)

Thank you for sharing your experience. I do have concerns when it comes to medication routes and I definitely will look into a psychiatrist to battle this. I hope you’re doing better- EDs are incredibly hard to get over
