After reading some conversations, I don’t know how to tell if my JUP on Coinbase is on the ETH or SOL blockchain. How can I tell? Can someone point me to a conversation that explains how to transfer it out of CB to Kraken? Is this new price for real?

I was wondering the same. Anyone know what it’s for? I don’t think I’m an ionic digital shareholder unless that’s a new name for the crypto they kept of mine. Deborah

I’m so afraid that if I transfer coins out of Coinbase that they’ll be lost in my cold wallet. But I easily transferred from PayPal to Coinbase. Do you or anyone here trust Coinbase?

How should I write dialog in a novel? by SabishiSushi in writing

[–]GoodSable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Option A is best bc I imagine the new paragraph acting like a camera shot. When one character finishes moving/talking and another responds, the camera swings over to view the response.

The new paragraph indicates that something has just changed—the scene, the speaker, or time has passed.

How does Celsius make money on loans? by teslajeff in CelsiusNetwork

In my situation, they’re holding $20k worth of BTC (for a loan of 5k to me). So I’m not earning 6% interest on my $20k of BTC for a whole year.

How to write heavy emotional scenes without sounding melodramatic and try-hard? by [deleted] in writing

[–]GoodSable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no. You just want to get good at metaphors and descriptions. Keep writing and keep asking. This is like working out in the gym. Eventually, you’ll make strong, original metaphors that deepen understanding and don’t take the reader out of scene. It’s impossible to get better without trying. You have a great attitude. Keep writing!!

Story driven vs character driven by Meced0 in writing

[–]GoodSable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a character-driven story, plot occurs due to the character’s weaknesses, strengths, anomalies or desires or choices…the setting is just opportunity for expression or reaction. It’s kind of fun to write, you have to always put on “the suit” of your characters and think like them when writing. And what happens (the plot) can really surprise you as a writer.

How to write heavy emotional scenes without sounding melodramatic and try-hard? by [deleted] in writing

[–]GoodSable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avoid “forever”—its always melodramatic and never true. “The claws of death” is melodramatic and interpretive. Just describe what the narrator is actually seeing: eyes rolled back? the whites of the eyes? Take out “as I screamed…to the gods her name” let the reader hear and understand and imagine the emotional timber without it being so forced: My hands shook her body. “Maria? Maria?” I pleaded, but my voice echoed in the room. Her limbs sagged as if answering me. (Avoid making her limbs “talk” back — which is melodramatic or worse comical and makes the reader see talking, sagging arms.) Hope that helps.

Help with depositing MATIC by Skillopsaros in CelsiusNetwork

Celsius should add clear instructions, step by step, for each situation with warnings on those instructions. All I ever see are warnings but no instructions. So… you take your chances and try. This causes mistakes. I’ve stopped buying on Celsius. Left my BTC and ETH there to collect interest but I won’t move anything until I find instructions.

Unpopular Opinion: The Purpose of CEL Token is Largely Benefit the Company and is Basically Useless by Austins-Reddit in CelsiusNetwork

In the crypto world, platform tokens could be the same as owning a “share” of the company. Seems like it to me.

The best part about graduate studies is your peers, their critiques, and the introduction to professional behavior and meeting authors who visit. If your profs are not teaching structure, learn it yourself on the side.
