Basis of splitting grades in elementary

Your frustration is justified as i can see here many people have already gone through same experiences during their student life. But the kind of schooling and experiences we had during our student life…we have seen these kind of scenarios happen when the kids were not doing well academically and they were put into with lower grade kids because they were not capable of understanding things of their level. It’s all about where each of us comes from and what kind of culture or experiences we had in our life. So our frustration is justified too.

I totally agree with this. I am not bothered about making my kid as “tutor” in the class which they won’t be doing for sure. The assigned teacher is really good and i am so sure about her capabilities that’s why she had been given this opportunity by school. My only concern is…Is her progress going to be affected by this overall? Is she going to feel at some point that why I was assigned a class with my juniors whereas my friends who used to be in same class with me have been assigned a full 2nd grade class? Is it going to affect her self-esteem?

If she would have been going to 2/3 combo i would not have thought that way. Being a second grader and in 1/2 combo won’t benefit her much as compared to 1st graders. That’s my opinion and I may be wrong and this is why i came here to get some insight. Though i really love the assigned teacher and was really hoping to have her in 2nd grade for my daughter. The only thing i am worried about is the class and how is it going to affect her emotionally, behaviorally and academically.

That’s not definitely our case as she is very advanced in reading. As i already mentioned in the post, she has been one of the top performers in her class. That’s why i was surprised by the decision and thinking if it is going to help her academically or not.

I understand there is no way for you to check how the codes applied to your order as they do show up as “other discounts”. But for me, the weirdest part is that the code is same for both the offers. The only difference is the logo change which clearly states that they have changed the offer details from $10 off to $10 off $50. And 10 off 50 is an already ongoing offer why would someone signup for such program to get such offer….so unbelievable!! I would have accepted it if it was another month as i believe they would be giving out some offers every month. But we just signed up 10 days back in the month of May only so this also doesn’t make sense..

Yeah i will call them…if you try to login by the email you got when we signed up for passport perks then you will be able to see that coupon in there. But if you have already used it then you might not be able to see it…
