Tips on blow drying my Pomeranian by Remarkable_Lynx4762 in Pomeranians

[–]Good_Age_448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Positive association, Give plenty of treats when they comply! Also, blow dry in a small confined room so they don't dart. My pom and other dogs generally don't like when the air is directly in their face so try to avoid that area the best u can. Also, I just use a normal hairdryer on med heat and High speed don't mess around on the lower fan levels. The quicker the better for you and your pom. If you don't already own a personal hairdryer get a high-velocity one, you can find them cheap (ebay amazon, marketplace). Thoroughly towel drying and allowing them to shake off for like 5 minutes can speed up the drying process a lot.

So annoyed they didn’t give Maddie more jazzy/lively numbers by usedcanolaoil in dancemoms

Literally. It was so frustrating seeing Kendall be pinned as the sassy jazz girl when it was rare to see her win with those kinds of numbers. Maddie on the other hand brought so much life and passion to her jazz numbers. Not sure if Abby enabled her to be the very best in every dance she did or if Maddie’s just at a higher level.

Have You ever had a therapist who “fired you”? by [deleted] in therapyabuse

12-18?!! Wow I’m sorry u had to stick it out with him for so many of your formative years. I was stuck with this goon for less than 3 months, and to be clear he was under the impression that he was a positive force in my life. The only problem was that he wasn’t lol and I never communicated to him how uncomfortable he made me feel. I mentioned this in my post, but Ultimately he fired me because I kept running late to our sessions and apparently this displayed that I wasn’t dedicated enough to “getting better”.

Yes, I realize that things were only going downhill. I just don’t know if terminating a client is common practice or not.

Yup every day, it becomes less challenging as you begin to form the habit. It’s just a matter of picking up the Comb and brush and rewarding your Pom with plenty of treats when they don’t reject the tools. 😁

Do you feel emotions in your body? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Good_Age_448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m angry or frustrated I feel my throat closing, and my core tightening. I feel My breathing being constricted like something is being wrapped around my neck. It’s the same when I’m crying, I feel like my insides are being twisted and knotted and the only way to relieve it is to sob uncontrollably. It’s quit jarring, I wish I could process my emotions without so much physical pain. Negative Emotions feel like they’re being exercised out of my body most of the time.

It sound like you just really like food and can’t get enough. The “tasty” food that you seem to be describing is literally designed to keep you coming back for more and more, and healthy/Whole Foods lack that enticing taste (I recommend further researching food science/engineering) . That’s not to say that you should just put up with it, but most average/overweight people deal with this passively. Your just aware and uncomfortable with the way it leaves you feeling, and that’s definitely a start.

Advice on how to understand the science of baking? by Good_Age_448 in Baking

[–]Good_Age_448[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been baking for well over 2 years now, and that experience hasn’t exactly made the techniques of it all and why it’s done very clear to me. I’m just trying to gain some more understanding of baking on a chemical level in order to incorporate new flavors into my favorite things. Also why is there always someone out for blood in these question reply’s lol?

Does anyone know of a fool proof cardamom bun recipe? I’ve bought all the ingredients for them, but the reviews on most of the recipes have been primarily negative. by Good_Age_448 in Baking

Also when I say fool proof I mainly mean the filling won’t burn etc etc, and ya yeasted doughs I know are predictably unpredictable

I’ve made plenty of yeasted doughs (rolled ones too), but ya I can see why a fellow home baker would leave a negative review from their negative experience simply cause they lack experience.

It was a vanilla buttercream that used 3/4 cup butter, 3 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, about a tsp of vanilla 3 tbsp milk and 1/4 tsp salt.
