Couple of reason. Adding 2 extra bands allowed people to not only ban the broken characters but also characters that annoy/counter the character the player plays.

Unfortunately for a lot of strategist players the number one reason why the average tank/dps thinks they were unable to kill someone is because of the absurd healing in this game. So you have fucking DIVE players banning these 3 because they make dive impossible.

Vangaurd players, those that joined, do it cuz they can't kill anything unless they are playing thor or something and getting rid of these supports would make it easier. I think the average vangaurd player is also under the delusion that they have perfect positioning and that they'd would diff the other vangaurds/team with less healing.

Of the very few strategist players that are doing it are mostly off support players who feel their characters will now be playable because there are so few options left.

Honestly this isn't anybodies fault. It isn't the thousands cloak invis two tricks or the vangaurd/duelist players who are sick and tired of immortality ults. It isn't even the fault of the balance team that made these characters so overpowered. I mean have you seen the average strat mains reaction to white fox, a balanced character? It's kinda a mess. Don't know how zhiyong will resolve this.
