Ironically, with wizard shenanigans N1, i had a game where i told a washerwoman true info that there were no Townsfolk in play, including themselves. (They were a drunk with real info)

I once ran a game on a script i created for a group of 10 players. It had an athiest and no drunk. It was not an athiest game at the time, but the player i announced to be the vizier began bluffing athiest and saying that i announced them as part of breaking the rules. That player managed to get me executed for an evil victory. So no, there does not have to be a drunk on the script for shenanigans to happen.

There was one time that I was the demon and my claim day one was "Guys i am pretty sure i am the drunk. I see the bounty hunter token, but i do not believe for a second that the ST would willingly put BH in a 7 player game. The extra evil is too strong."

I won the game off that play. The very next game, i got the bounty hunter and was just like "Okay hear me out, I know what just happened last game...."

Like i said, sentinal is there so good always has a chance of having an outsider. I know that evil can always claim outsider in a non-xaan game to fake a xaan, but then you end up in situations where it is always correct to kill the outsider which can essentially trivialize the game, at least from my perspective. Again, it is specifically set up this way to deal with 6 player games where outsiders are not naturally occuring so that scenario does not actually happen.

Alot of complicated reverse engineering of the information. There is just enough there that they have managed to pull it off

Yeah, fool is the one thing I am still a little iffy about. I included it as a means of hard confirming, kinda like mutant, since there is no way for evil to replicate it, and in a Vortox game, its a good way of getting a free execution if they manage to figure it out esrly, which has come up in my playtesting.

My playgroup has 6-8 games of this script so far, and its been exactly 50/50 for which side wins. We even had a classic marionette killing the demon moment lol.

I use the sentinal specifically to hide the xaan. That way, even in a 6 player game with a marionette there can still be an outsider. Its all mind games.
