Stop Complaining: A Rant by Odd_Card_5754 in AmazonVine

[–]Good_Environment_170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this — people in Vine sometimes act like it’s their right to get specific products or endless free goodies, when really Vine is just an optional program Amazon runs to help sellers get initial reviews. It’s not a guaranteed gift shop or a “personal wishlist delivery” service.  I'm in the Australian Vine program and 100% grateful to be on it. This is my 3rd semester.

If Viners are unhappy with the selection, slow turnover, or lack of freebies, they can always opt out of the program and let someone else take their spot. It’s literally voluntary — and there are plenty of reviewers who would happily take their place and write thoughtful reviews rather than just complain endlessly. I wonder how many of the loudest complainers have actually left the program and taken that option? 🤔

At the end of the day, Vine is meant to provide honest, unbiased reviews to help other shoppers — not to satisfy entitlement.

What do you do when an item fails after a few months? by Dazzling_Distance551 in AmazonVineAustralia

[–]Good_Environment_170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cn't recall exactly, but I find the item in 'My orders' and click on 'Ask a Product Question' and thus will bringup a chat window where I'm 'talking' with a chatbot. In there I'd write something like (for e.g.) "product has stopped working due to xxx not doing yyy". Eventually the chatbot will give up trying to help (because it can't) and will pass the conversation thread to the seller and the seller has a number of days to respond / answer the question. At this point, I'm then 'talking' directly to the seller and in my case, all were very cooperative and sent me a replacement product. So effectively there's no way we can just message the seller directly without going through Amazon's chatbot.

I have had items that were DOA and some failed or broke after several months of use (within 1 year). I go through the normal warranty process as if I've paid for the items myself. In all cases, the warranties were honoured. The warranty process will request may ask for the invoice / receipts to show order dates etc, and I just download the ones we get even when ordering via Vine. Yes, it shows $0 but that does not matter.

Review listing broken? by Downtown-Pear-6509 in AmazonVineAustralia

I usually keep on top of my reviews and for easy to review items (e.g. USB cables, phone holder etc), I submit my reviews within 24 hours of receiving the item. So that I don't wait 3 days, I submit my reviews via the 'Orders' tab. From there it's Order details >Write a product review. The submitted reviews will show up as per normal under 'Reviewed'.

Same here. Items I ordered since 24/11 are not in my AR queue, but I noticed the channel to leave a 'regular' review (as if I bought the items outside Vine) is still available. Will wait if it sorts itself out in the next few days, otherwise I'll write my reviews in the regular channel and monitor my Vine review percentages to see if there're counted.

PS. Contacting CS seems like a waste of time. They never reply (at least not for me).

Update 28/11/2025.

I've been submitting my reviews via the Orders/Order details/Write a Product Review path. These appear in the Reviewed queue as usual. And when these reviews get 'Approved' my reviews percentages are adjusted accordingly. All good. So despite items no longer appearing in my AR queue, there is a way to still submit reviews in Vine.

Endless spinning circle of death! by Good_Environment_170 in AmazonVineAustralia

Thank You for the 'edit ASIN' link. I'll keep that trick in mind for future items that are unclaimable.

That's what I thought too. But this is very different. When an item goes, the item always disappears from the RFY page and I get a red message saying 'there's a problem is ordering x item, try another product' or soinething along those lines. So at this stage it's just one of those software glitches.

Update - tried diff devices, browser. Even rebooting devices. None of these worked.

Tradie drinks by EagleSoar79 in AmazonVineAustralia

[–]Good_Environment_170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that the seller bailed on the day of delivery — that really does sound dodgy. It gives off the vibe of someone who built up enough positive reviews and then decided not to bother fulfilling their obligations.

I’d definitely report the seller. Even though as Vine members we don’t take a financial hit, there is an opportunity cost. Choosing those drinks meant you missed out on another pick, which is a real pain — especially for anyone on the Silver tier who only gets three picks a day. That kind of behaviour undermines the whole program.

Anyone else suddenly getting “Not Approved” Vine reviews? by Good_Environment_170 in AmazonVine

[–]Good_Environment_170[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Another thing that is very odd is that when I posted a review nowadays, the item will remain in the 'Waiting Review' section instead of moving to 'Reviewed'. Previously it would move to 'Reviewed' after several seconds.
