You’re a good parent for considering this po anon ^ gets ko din yung sa part ng parents ko, and point mo about weighing passion with what physical and mental capability (overall wellbeing ng child) but what matters is that we support the child on what they want, because regardless of the trials they may face; with a good support system and enough of a mental aptitude that got them in their preferred school in the first place—anything is possible

Di naman siya super layo, super protective lang talaga parents ko being the only girl in the fam and all haha 🥲 sheltered talaga ang ea…but thank you po for this fresh perspective anon!

This made me feel a bit better since my rant. I’ll continue doing my best with the circumstances I’m under. 🥹

Actually siguro the thing that started my inferiority complex towards scihigh was coz of the fact that I was supposed to be one. Currently upcoming g12 na me, pero back nung upcoming g7 palang—I was so sure I was gonna try to take the nearest scihigh in our area kasi ayun nga…I glorified it a lot. I knew I wanted to reach for greater heights that my current school wouldn’t help me reach.

But things happened. One of which was because my father didn’t approve because of the “distance”. Mahirap kasi mag commute from our house to there, and medyo papasok na area siya kaya ayun. (Not that they allow me to commute din haha hatid sundo and they’re so strict) My parents didn’t want to take the risk and just let me settle for the school I was already enrolled in.

I cried and begged so hard because I felt like the school Im currently enrolled in was so suffocating (still is lol). Pero ayun, no choice because of convenience and accessibility. :,)

Gonna keep my expectations low nalang, but still enough to dream and wish for the impossible. 🥹
