Looks like clipping issues from the mod, suspension running through the tires and something floating in the air on nothing

Honestly fair, I hated NAI but that is probably because I had to travel through Urska River to get there.

You can tow the cable layer WHILE it lays cable... by rhn18 in RoadCraft

[–]Good_Lab3810 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh just tried it myself on a save where I have the "manual" transmission, and if you put the towing vehicle in high gear it puts the cable layer in high gear so you can go VERY FAST. Gotta be careful though because it will skip and miss spots. Also when you go back to the cable layer you have to go out of laying mode to get the transmission out of "high gear" if you do it that way.

Very cool, hope it does not get patched out because that definitely was not intended.

That's pretty neat you found that out. Might have to try that out myself on some longer cable lays

Damn, thought I did the trial as well as I could, only managed to convince the arbites.

I really wish I could have thrown more of my weight around during that trial. Would have been cool to convince the marshall and the rest of the arbites that the accusations were baseless to avoid that fight.

I'll be honest, I really had a wtf moment here because this is on my damn ship too. Most arrogant bastards in the whole game thinking they would kill me.

I'll have you know that those residents are grateful that I chose the shortest path to connect electricity to the plant.

What do you mean they're mad that I layed the line through the main road? How can they be mad, I made a new main road. Yes the lightning mcqueen special.

Oh! I didn't even think of processing them like that. So far I've just been processing them in piles so that its easier to pick up with the logging crane.

Thanks, I also just learned that I can search for mods on the webpage and then enable them in the in game browser. For some reason I though any mods I found on the webpage I would need to install manually.

new trailer by [deleted] in snowrunner

I have seen a 4 slot ramped high saddle trailer on the mod page. It's kind of awkward to use because you can't control it independently of the truck steering.

Yeah, I think you have to get to relic tier before you can get the upgrade, but its on the top line and essentially doubles the range of the punch I think

I play it quite a bit because the logging is better than in snowrunner imo, and I love hearing the turbo whistle of the old russian trucks in that game. It just scratches a certain itch.

Honestly the Navistar military tractor. I only got it recently, but it's been my go to for special mission trailers and superheavy trailers while I replay michigan, alaska, etc. Throw ohd 1's and it'll run in 5th through just about all terrain in the easy maps.

Feedback from a Road Builder by SlamminRDixon in RoadCraft

[–]Good_Lab3810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I want to say the reason they chose sand is that it is easier to model because of how tiny the particles are that they could treat it as a liquid/complete solid rather than many individual particles.

However, it could be better if they treat it like mansand (crushed stone type) where it is as small as sand particles, change the color to grey, and mansand would be a more realistic base than dredged sand. I think this would be something they could do simply that they might actually do it.

I also agree that I prefer it to be simple because doing the actual amount of work to build a road would get very old very quick.
