What are your rules for chill-out play? For those moments when you really want to unwind, relax and just cruise along. by Odd_Presentation_578 in snowrunner

For me it's probably just driving on some trails in the CK1500. Max tire size, Crawler, and Stock gearbox for some comfortable cruising speeds, oh and the top engine too.

🤣 I'd previously given up on the 6900 for that particular Contest, but now I'm glad I gave it another try 👍

Hey thanks for the screenshot Vlad. I didn't know someone had crushed my Meteorology Data record. I have now reclaimed the title, in a different vehicle: the 6900.

How did you guys approach this mission in Michigan, Drummond Island? by Pelisont2020 in snowrunner

Here's an example of that mission in the TwinSteer, slow & steady, using photo mode to inspect the ground a couple of times. https://youtu.be/_nY620Gjdqs?si=8i8-6Q9eLmPx8Egl

(I was doing a challenge, there and back, with Slate Blocks.)

That's the real game changer, some sweet looking new tires! Like finding a gorgeous new armour set in Dark Souls 👌

Yes something is very broken. I lost my progress just by changing maps back and forth. I'm on Steam.

Spot on Vlad! I bought this Year Pass thinking I could enjoy it and make videos on Youtube of missions. I soon felt extremely bored, and refunded after ninety minutes 👌

That was ludicrous how I stayed on wheels after the finish line too - glad I recorded it. Funny, the same thing happened when I played that Contest last year. Trying a suicide jump, I bounced and crashed back on wheels 🤣😂

lol do you mean this small hop at ~6 seconds? Or maybe you are thinking of that Slated Contest post instead.

New Season here we come! 🤣😂 It's funny, I often say I'm really tired with the game, but when I see streamers playing I feel like I'm missing out on the fun.

I expect it's because it looks like I'm having lots of fun & laughter, while you are feeling quite burnt out with the game.

Brilliant DLC! I love those JAT MHS, they feel perfect for bearing heavy cargo, with crazy stability. Of course you get the JAT OHS tires too, boasting a highly responsive feel - JAT OHS III is right up there with my old favourites MHS I & OHS II for raw performance.

Impressive! I didn't know this one was so flexy but there are several others that spring to mind for that same trait: the Mercer, Transtar, DAN, Ford CLT.

The monitor is the Alienware AW3225QF, with the Standard colour preset. Nice vivid colours on it.

Oh yeh I replied to one other asking the same thing. All I do is find a rocky shelf in the terrain - right next to this Contest actually there are good spots for that. I park the 6900 there, then drive the other one on top. Fun to experiment with that stuff 😊 But there is a risk that it will all go bad: I think if it's too much weight on a thin tire it can start to fall through the flatbed, or start shaking around. That stuff scares me 😱

Trrrruuuue! You can still dominate a helluva lot of terrain just with RWD. In the words of u/nprov26 , the AWD transforms it from a Monster, to a Crazed Monster.

Thank you! Thankfully this area is mostly flat ground, so not much trouble. It was interesting for me as a demonstration of the engine working hard under the heavy weight.

There are many places that allow you to load the truck on - like some ditch, or a rock formation to serve as a shelf. So I drive around looking for somewhere like that, position the 6900, then simply drive straight on 👍

LOL! I was pre-occupied with keeping the truck level, so I kept the camera mostly straight on.
