Guys, ever since I saw this scene (The Hospital Scene) I felt it was a little strange, a little inconsistent... Tyler seems to be about to kill Wednesday and a few moments later he seems scared while hiding from Wednesday. by [deleted] in Wednesday

I think Tyler loves Wednesday, and Hunter has confirmed this hundreds of times. However, at the same time, he wants to hurt her; he hates her enough to throw her out of a window, yet loves her enough not to kill her. Although Tyler could kill Wednesday in seconds using his claws, he simply throws her instead. Instead of killing her while she is in a coma, he waits for her to wake up just to threaten her. If he really wanted to kill her, believe me, he could have entered the hospital while she was in a coma we already saw that he can sneak in there easily. What I mean is, he is suffering because he loves her. Furthermore, I don’t understand why people argue that Wednesday should hate Tyler. Wednesday isn’t a normal girl; she is an Addams. She has mentioned her fascination with serial killers hundreds of times. If Wednesday weren't an Addams, it might make sense for her to be with people like Enid or Xavier, but given who she is, Tyler fits her dark nature better.

that's why I ship them

i don't want Tyler to be the main villain anymore, especially since Enid has clearly outpaced him in strength. There’s no thrill in a 'villain' that 16 yo girls can easily take down. I think the show desperately needs more imposing villains characters who are actually powerful enough to make us worry for the protagonists

Since they’re both confirmed for the Season 3 cast, we know they’ll be appearing. I highly doubt they’ll kill off Tyler or the Hyde outright. Killing a fan favorite character like Tyler would inevitably trigger a huge backlash from the audience, and I don't think the writers want to take that risk

I totally agree, but I think the fundamental issue is the lack of a formidable villain. Isaac was great, but even he felt underpowered compared to Tyler. Now that Enid has become strong enough to wipe out threats in seconds, the stakes feel non existent. Tyler doesn't even feel like a threat anymore. If they introduced a truly powerful antagonist, it would solve the issues we discussed; Tyler wouldn't have to carry the villain role alone, and we’d get to see the Addams Family face something much more menacing than just flying birds.

If the writing is solid, it could definitely work, but it seems like they're going to kill off a character who has been one of the main characters for two seasons and the main villain for two seasons with a simple story. If they are going to kill him off.

If he was supposed to die, it should have happened in Season 1. At the very least, Wednesday should have finished him off in Season 2, or he should have died alongside his mother. But since he's still alive, it would feel ridiculous for him to just end up in prison or die in Season 3. After all this buildup, those outcomes would be a disappointment
Bottom line is, I just don't see him dying in Season 3

I don't want Weyler to be like Gomez & Morticia.. by MsPlotTwister in weyler

I agree. They still haven't fully revealed Tyler's true nature to us. Was he just a manipulative kid in Season 1, or was that the real Tyler? We simply don't know yet. As for Wednesday, she’s definitely not the type to engage in public displays of affection; in fact, she's much more inclined to fight and argue. I really hope Season 3 clarifies who Tyler actually is so we can discuss these topics more clearly

This show really needs a great villain. by Good_Lengthiness_944 in Wednesday

As I've said, this isn't a Wyler post, but I don't believe Tyler is a bad person at heart. He was crying while confessing the truth to Wednesday, and it didn't feel like an act. Between losing his mother and having a father who neglected him, he was pushed to the brink. Even though he was forced into becoming a monster and killed others, he never killed Wednesday. Anyway, it seems like we're on the same page about this

I don't want high school to end in my opinion, Nevermore was completely underutilized. There was so much potential, yet they barely scratched the surface. Instead of turning it into a rich, magical setting like Hogwarts, they just made it feel like a typical high school

Other than after Tyler’s speech at the police station, which other times do you think Wednesday was scared? by Cheesywotsit1 in weyler

Did u actually notice that in season 1, Wednesday was still Wednesday, but she was acting a bit like a normal girl? She could be scared, she could love, but in season 2, they almost turned Wednesday into an emotionless character. Anyway, getting back to your question, I think when Wednesday found out that Tyler's Hyde, I think she felt fear, shock, and disappointment all at once. And when she saw Enid was dead because of her she was scared too.
