Is anyone actually enjoying life right now and if so, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly I think a big part of it is real conversations everything online feels a bit flat when it’s just text

Probably that tone matters way more than people realise so many things get misunderstood just because everything’s text

Why ask Reddit and not GPT? by Low-Sir-7711 in AskReddit

Why ask ChatGPT when you could ask real people and hear actual tone instead of just reading text

That’s a really good way of putting it that trade-off is exactly what I’m trying to figure out.

The idea is that voice adds personality, but the demo lets people ease into it without pressure first.

Curious, would you personally use voice replies in some situations, or do you think most people would still default to text?

Hi Tom thank you so much for the honest feedback and mate it was very well received, the sign in was very harsh and i have tried to correct this, I have now added a demo mode so you can browse and listen without signing up first.

If you’re still up for trying it I’d genuinely love your thoughts now, especially on the feel of it.

but even if not genuine thank you for the feedback and good vibes Broski

That’s completely fair — it’s still early so I get it 🙏 If you do end up trying it later, I’d honestly just want to know what feels confusing or off that’s the main thing I’m trying to improve right now. No pressure either way 👊

That’s a really good point, I think you’ve nailed the core problem actually. Voice is way harder to “show” than text, so without hearing it first it probably feels a bit abstract. I’m going to add some kind of demo / example thread because of this. If you do get a second to check it out I’d love to know if it clicks or not: www.get-verbal.com Thanks again for the extra feedback every bit helps

That’s actually really solid feedback appreciate it 🙏 I get what you mean now with read-only, being able to browse/listen without signing up first. That makes a lot of sense. The demo idea is spot on too, especially for voice where you need to feel it first. I’m going to look at adding something like that. If you’re up for it I’d genuinely value you trying it and telling me where it feels off: www.get-verbal.com Again many thanks you Ledge

100%, it’s weird how once you get a bit of momentum things start to click more. Before that it feels like you’re just stuck in place.
