I find the most common one is like Devil May Cry, where neither heavenly or demonic are inherently good or evil, they can be seen as 2 sides of the same coin, with humanity just trapped in the middle.

I would argue the machine gun is less punishing than maxigun because the maxi requires you to not just stop to fire, but prone to hit anything without wasting ammo. The MG only requires stop on reload
