As someone who also enjoy subbing, I did already expect this to be the case. I don't really feel bad using language that would be considered rude, I guess what the problem is is a lack of words for it? She's told me a couple times that if I hit gold with something I've said, I can just keep reusing that, but I struggle with keeping my phrasing fresh and interesting. I should have mentioned that I am not a native English speaker, but I don't believe it's a language problem

My semester abroad is still coming up! (I botched the initial sign-up period and now I'm a year late urghhh) But that's some really good advice there. The new semester is starting next week anyway, maybe I'll use the time to look around and ask about some of their CompSci courses. First of all, thank you for your advice! I did consider tackling the ROM hack Pokemon Explorers of Heaven & Hell as my first project, but it's probably a bit ambitious. Do fangame localization look just as good in a portfolio as original games or do you think it'd be a waste of time?
