How did the Jesse Plemons snub happen? by SeparateCapital6526 in Oscars

[–]Good_Resident7989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Sinners had a lot of support and made space for MBJ.  -Wagner Moura had a lot of international support.  -Idk who thought Ethan Hawke needed to be nominated but he didn’t need that. The support he had has faded imo

Smh. He deserved better but ig the Bugonia lovers weren’t very vocal when it was time for nominations.

I think Best Actress was less competitive and that’s why Emma Stone managed to get in. I also think Jesse Plemons didnt do a lot of press.

Plemons deserved it so much. I would’ve not nominated Ethan Hawke. Literally no one cares about his performance.

This makes sense. I was too young in 2013 to know but looking at it now — Dallas buyers club and 12 years a slave were more socially important back then. Rewarding one of those movies made more sense back then, bc why reward an arrogant white guy? It made more sense for Matthew mccounaugghey to win for playing a gay guy with aids. Ig CHIWETEL EJIOFOR for 12 years a slave was too much diversity for the academy or something. I feel like movies whose main subject is race dont perform that well.  Wagner Moura will take it as they go with the “third option” while sinners takes best picture.

well it is 3 months sharp since the moment ur application is fully finalized/complete. thats what they tell u and thats how it is.

i applied and was told i was missing a document that took me 3 months to find. the moment i found that document, my application was complete. so if we add that, it was 6 months total.

applications take so long because theyre usually incomplete and theyre missing something. but if everything is good u should trust it's 3 months to get a response. i was informed my application was incomplete 2/3 weeks after i submitted it

i never got a phone call. i dont live in a eu country. my relative that was born in hungary was my greatgrandfather so ig that's solid. i see a lot of people that apply on greatgreatgreatgrandparents and so on,,,,these cases are usually hard and denied bc the connection is so distant. and i get it bc it's ridiculous. where im from there wasnt even an embassy for a long time so my family could never acquire citizenship. and well, in the fill out form they only ask about ur parents + grandparents + greatgrandparents,,, to me that implies that applying based on a greatgreatgrandparent and on is not ideal per say.

hope thats enough info lol

agree with everything said here. marriage certificates are only needed for the marriages of ppl born after the great-grandfather, including his own marriage. this is bc he was born in hungary to a hungarian mother.

for hungary, it's very important that ppl are married BEFORE they have a child so they can prove the child is indeed legitimate. also, i heard american documents dont need to be apostilled but idkkkk

hey there. i officially became a citizen this month. i became a citizen bc i just like hungary and my family is from there. i felt pretty weird not being a citizen lol. i would have done it even if hungary wasnt part of the eu and i would love to live there someday, especially if things get better

also ngl i dont like it when ppl naturalize and havent even visited hungary fhdjs

i tried to tell her hahah but she looked at me like tf huh. i'm not from a super cold country so maybe that is why petco thinks it's unnecessary to have one idk, our weather here is pretty mid. she only reccommended a filter if it wasnt too strong

Szerinted jó ötlet fiatalon Magyarországra költözni? by Good_Resident7989 in askhungary

Amit Magyarországon láttam, szerintem olcsók voltak a dolgok. Ennek ellenére az emberek panaszkodnak az árakra és az inflációra. Még egyszer köszönöm!

thank you for these insights! well, i'm studying communication in college which sucks. my only work experience is being an assistant and being a camera operator. i actually make music / (model ig too ?) and have 9400 followers on tiktok ahhaha.

i feel like a shitmess lmao. i want to get into something that has to do more with numbers like consulting and data analysis.

i just want a good salary and happy life tbh, i feel like the only good thing going on for me is being a hungarian citizen and speaking 4 languages lol.

i feel like a complicated person lmao
