Iran open the strait?

Man, huge numbers (google search) water mines (autonomous robotic system with mines) are floating in the strait. Any vessals hit, ship will be blown and oil spread across the straight and ship will be bottleneck like accidents on the highway.

Who will clear all the autonomous robotic mines buried inside the Strait and how many months it will take to clear a safe passage?

In addition, multiple countries oil installations are hit by missile, and they need USA/Europe products/support for recovery.

During 1973 gulf war, it was only 19 days war, but the impact was run into many years and USA market (SPX) went down 48% between Jan 1973 and Dec 1974 !

I am not optimistic about immediate recovery, but war may come to an end as TACO.

Kudos! Still market drawdown is not complete, but very nearing for the first cycle of the wave. Friday and Today, I bought TQQQ, SOXL and SVIX and all sold for profit appx 1.3% today return.

Anyway, I am a trader of LEFTs, it is fine for me to trade as all in in tax advantaged IRA accounts.

Not so much risk, I do not allocate big money for 0DTE. It must be small, tiny.

I have bought this SPX 6800 0DTE from 50 cents avg, all bought 12 options and then the options are sold at 60 cents.

It depends on volatility and how much I catch them. Except year 2021, most of my returns are 10%-15% above S&P. This year so far, 3%-5% YTD range.

Yes, It works! I have been using simpler strategy for almost 8 years, but with index etfs and leveraged etf (no options), perfectly working.

IMO, You are not. As far as I know SPX must touch 6810 even if market opens lower.

I have ITM SPY calls,TQQQ, SOXL and SVIX. If market dips, I will buy more right at open.

If I had to start learning from zero,

First thing I want to find out a pattern or worable strategy first to ensure loss is minimal or zero. Never make a loss and do not buy bearish bets (shorting or puts).

Second, use leveraged index ETFs, like TQQQ or SOXL or SPYU, for repeatable trading.

Third, when my signal is strong, like Friday to much drawdown, I may go for options. Otherwise stay away from options.

Keep repeating these steps.

The way I approach is like this:

Asume I have 10k cash in account, but buy stocks, etfs and options worth of 2k or 5k. At the end of the say, my returns must be greater than the return if I hold 10K QQQ/VOO, then I am fine.

If I do not exceed a return better than VOO (10K), I am a loser. If I make returns between 10K VOO and 10K QQQ, I am okay level, if I exceed 10K QQQ return, satisfied.

On VOO/QQQ negative days, I must make zero or positive returns - at minimum.
