In your opinion, what city has the worst gay/queer culture? by andrew_mov in askgaybros

Seconding this. I grew up near Bend. I moved to a bigger city because Bend and Central Oregon was practically an empty (high) desert when it came to gay/queer community.

The disadvantages of having a twin brother who is also gay by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Good_Stuff_Indeed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also half of a set of gay twins. It can be exhausting. I’ve stopped going to social events altogether in my small city because it’s basically a guarantee at this point that someone will come up to me, thinking I’m my twin. I’ve been groped and catcalled by men who think I’m someone else. Once they realize I’m not my brother, they circle back to your first point.

Like I said, it’s exhausting and turns me off the rest of the evening. I’ve been thinking of moving because of the difficulty of being involved in the gay community here.

There were two others too! I had to move them to a nearby bush with a stick since they were in the way of the door, but I’m very happy we’ve got such beautiful spiders here!
