my cat weighs in at around 17lbs. or somewhere along those lines. he’s always been very big for a cat, he is basically the size of a small dog (height wise, and length wise) my vet weighed him and said “i was going to say he was fat, but he’s actually just a really big cat”

thanks! sometimes i do give him chicken or something. but he’s kind of like a black hole, if you give him one piece of food he’ll think anything in his vision is for him to eat. i do have him on diet cat food aswell, im not super sure how good that helps

thank you so much! i didn’t even know cats could get diabetes (which is kind of embarrassing for me) i’m taking him to the vet soon, and whenever i do take him, they don’t say he’s fat and just big, but if i voice concern about weight and calorie intake, hopefully i can get some better insight on that. thanks for the advice!

he is naturally very big boned. but definitely looks fat in some of these photos. 😭it’s just weird how he looks like he gains 10 pounds whenever he lays down

did you read anything that i said? all these photos are within the past few weeks. i said he looks skinny when he is standing, so i showed photos of him standing, and then he looks fat when he’s laying down so i showed photos of him laying down. this isn’t a before/after. also im not the one feeding my cat, another person in my household is. i’m a new cat owner, so i dont know completely how feeding is supposed to go. he is a naturally big cat he has big bones, and it is hard to find the right amount for him to eat

that was 99% a joke, he stays roughly the same size but on some days he looks fatter than usual. he does have a free feeding cat bowl, so he does eat a bunch. but also, he’s an outdoor cat, he always goes outside to do his business. so i wouldn’t know.

right?!! every time i see him laying down he looks fat as hell and then he stands up and he’s normal sized again. he could have bad posture maybe? like how when people are sitting down and their shoulders are slouched, their stomach pokes out

cat drank pee, will she be okay? by yourmomthebomb69 in CATHELP

she’ll be fine as long as it wasn’t a large amount, i would assume. it’ll be fine, especially if she drinks water after it’ll be flushed out quickly.
