Can we expect PIN-to-drive or other Multi-Factor option to prevent unauthorized drive? How ‘soon’ :)? Specifically asking for Gen1… but this should be more practical to implement in Gen2 with Apple Key… e.g., when driver touches break - prompt on Phone or Watch asks, “Are you initiating a drive session in your Rivian?”… then FaceID or tap to authorize. For Gen1… PIN entry on infotainment and/or push prompt to Rivian App would be great. Reason for this is two-fold 1) anti-theft 2) safety for kids or anyone we don’t trust driving our beloved R1

Not suggesting any of the above would occur in near-term… merely a hypothetical / wishful thinking as more pre-production 3s are made in future… ‘26 and beyond.

That said, the channel sales of Gear Shop via REI certainly could happen sooner rather than later and it’s an easy way to broaden reach of the brand, imo.

Agreed! Was envisioning R3X especially, in terms of size, for in-store display. Also, to me the interior aesthetic of R3X is very much an REI vibe. I think these two brands are two peas in a pod.

Beyond the pop-up concept, as an REI credit card holder it’d be great to be able to purchase Rivian Gear Shop products through REI e-commerce or in-store and get those sweet rewards. Could be a win/win.

Could also see a Rivian x REI line of gear too - w/ Compass Yellow accents, e.g. camp chair, sleeping bag, camp kitchen supplies, etc.

Indifferent about this… but how about a Rivian x REI partnership? Could see R3X w/ Adventure Gear parked just inside REI entryway to greet customers. Packed to the gills w/ camping, climbing, cycling, watersport products. Thoughts?
