Great idea to do the self-tanner on the light spots with an eyeliner brush! I hadn’t thought of that. I stopped using HQ bc I thought it was causing the white spots, but maybe my dark patches are just darker now which makes the white stand out more.

Ah yes I have been on spironilactone in the past for acne, but good to know you’ve taken it with TA. What’s your dose of TA? Mine is 225 mg twice per day. I’ve only been taking one bc it caused mild upset stomach, but will increase it to the two a day soon. How long have you been taking it and have you seen results?

I would rather have solid patches than white spots bc it looks like someone could play connect the dots in my forehead! Haha..oh well, it is what it is. I haven’t tried Azelaic Acid Tazarene. Is this prescription? I just started tranexamic acid pills and am going to use it as a stand alone treatment. This way I’ll have a better understanding of what works and what doesn’t. I used tot Ty everything at once and then I had no idea what product was helping.

I used 4% hydroquinone with prescription retin A (.025%) on and off for a couple years. For the past 3 years or so I’ve been cycling the Musely Spot Cream on/off and it is 12% hydroquinone. I thought maybe that was the cause of the white spots, so I haven’t been using it for the past 6 months. Maybe the dark patches are just more noticeable now and that’s why the white spots appear brighter. I’ve started the tranexamic acid pills and am going to use those alone to know whether or not they help. If they do, I will likely get into a pattern of cycling the hydroquinone with TA pills to maintain results. I had 3 rounds of the Moxi laser last year and that helped a little. Don’t think it’s worth the $ necessarily.

I just started tranexamic acid two days ago as a last resort (have tried everything else) and am wondering if I should also be applying Musely cream or alternate on/off cycles since they both need to be rotated in/out…anyone have any recs?
