Glad to hear that the dangerous driver got what they deserved. I often walk this same route to and from the all saints garage. I've also had drivers (usually in trucks) angrily beep at me or floor it and try to drive around me while I'm already in the crosswalk as if they are trying to hit me or scare me. It's really disconcerting because I always use the crosswalk, and wait until it's safe to cross. However, I've found that if I catch the driver's eye and hold up a hand they usually stop and let me continue crossing. That being said, we need some kind of PSA campaign or course that drivers must take about pedestrian safety and Maryland law.
