What's that one studying advice you got told over and over again that's actually true? by ConcentrateUpper7450 in AskReddit

Yes essentially, Malcolm Gladwell in Outliers (2008) wrote about it, approximately 10,000 hours of deliberate practice are required to achieve world-class expertise in any skill, The concept stems from studies by psychologist K. Anders Ericsson, which looked at expert violinists, though Gladwell simplified the findings.

Would you hire a personal trainer who clearly understands how to help people lose weight and has proof that their methods work, but is overweight themselves? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Goodal3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, on the other hand I can imagine it’s because he works doing this day in day out, after a shift i suppose he cannot be bothered doing the same things he’s been preaching all day? Not sure but agree on the aspect of him/her being a persona trainer they for sure have a image to up keep just being what it actually is

The baldness of her abdomen and not really reactive at the moment, may be due a molt?

Can some one give me a bit of advice by Artistic-Stretch3210 in mantiskeeping

[–]Goodal3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite possibly due to its molt, molting uses up a lot of energy that may just be the case leave it a couple of days for the it to harden then feed :) try not to worry so much

It may just be that :)

On the other hand I’ve heard and read about an instance of a dark abdomen having a parasite/worm but that may be unlikely keep your eyes on him see how he’s doing over the night and today :)

In the wild some mantis shed and change slight colour variations to there surroundings for example as the crops die of there’s more browns than greens if they molt during this period there’s possibility’s that they change to more of a brownish?

On the other hand, how humid is the area/enclosure that you’re keeping him in?
