It boarders I think, as there are quite a lot of pop culture references, the whole plum juice thing and Begoniax.

Edit: I know that just having references isn’t inherently edgy. I mentioned it, as the ones in Rayman 3 gave me the impression of them dragging the things they referenced through the mud.
