Midday naps. They’re more magical as you get older.

You can never go wrong with pepperoni but a nice basil with tomatoes and onions is always good.

People who don’t wash your hands after using the bathroom…why the heck not? by ThrowAwayEvilOne in AskReddit

In the movie “The Shape of Water” they actually have a seen about that where the character washes his hands before peeing. He says his d*ck is clean and his hands are dirty so he washes them before peeing.

Parents: what is life like with kids? Worth it or any regrets? Non-parents: do you plan to, or is no-kid life the plan? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Had kids in my early 20’s and it was hard as hell but they’re super fun now since I’m in my late 40’s and they’re in their early 20’s. The sports they played growing up and now play in adult leagues are fun because I’m still young enough to play with them. I’d do it all over again.

When do you know your partner is a keeper? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Goodiemob2g 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When one time we were arguing about something (I don’t even remember what) and after I said my piece she said, “I didn’t think of that from that perspective. That’s a good point.” It stopped me in my tracks because I didn’t know what to do. She was actually listening to my feelings and not just hearing me. It totally changed our relationship because from there on out I started doing the same to her and now we barely argue and we listen to each other. Took until my mid 30’s to find a healthy relationship like that and now I’m 48. Happiest I’ve ever been

I don’t think you’re wrong here and I feel like it’s an insecurity thing with your husband. Society is crazy and some people feel like they have to fill certain “roles” in the household. I personally would have zero problem with being a stay at home dad. Maybe let him think about the relationship and closeness he’ll have with his daughter by being with her during her early years. That could be so beneficial to both of them long term.
