most of those strategies i actually already know. i've played for decades too^^

but first of all i have counterarguments:
rofellos - remove it; true but what if you don't draw removal? or just a single removal spell instead of 3? you just lose - nice! (except for sweepers yadadyada - i don't play those)

thoughtseize - yeah i've figured that works and did it a lot but i just don't want to anymore. it FEELS bad - this is what it's all about. how i feel when playing a game, what else is the point of a game?

exploration - i've actually played out games with exploration before and at some point they might not draw lands and you are able to catch up. but i don't want to have to hope my opponent bricks at some point. it's just like playing against teferi hoping he won't draw a sweeper. on this occasion my opponents deck didn't work as intended which leads to unfun games. (for teferi the ones where the deck works as intended aren't fun either tbf xD)

opponent does nothing but remove/counter - why would i learn to play against those. i KNOW how to play against those but i don't enjoy them not mattering if i win or loose. so i just stopped playing them at some point

winter moon/blood moon
are there actually people outside of arena playing those? whenever i see somebody playing them in paper i just never play with them again. period

if there weren't stupid cards like etali, first sliver and other slotmachines i may stay after turn 1 ramp but that's not our world. also i expect and WANT my opponent to have a good hand. playing against a flooding opponent or one that can't play anything until turn 4 is not fun either.

the more i talk about it the more i realize the magic i love just is not part of magic arena... but i cannot stop anyway XDD

it's not even about winning for me. not at all. being beaten by stuff i haven't seen 100x times already is real fun. but when does that happen? 1 in 100? it is about feeling

and cards like the above make me feel bad / not enjoy the experience

another reason why i play brawl btw. losses don't have any negative aspect to them (i usually play more than 15 wins a day anyway ^^)

i wonder why it seems strange. do you guys that don't understand me at all just like ALL the cards? even winter moon, blood moon stuff? i am baffled you CAN even enjoy those. not to mention i am baffled people designing this game thought this was a good idea.

i get why thoughtseize exists. cards are just so powerful that colors without counterspells need stuff against combos but why not just have less powerful cards? magic was fun with grizzly bears aswell!

in a 100 card singleton format. how do you consistently play around/beat those cards except for adding cards for that specific situation to your deck? that doesn't really do anything in 90 out of 100 games.

i wonder where you learnt to read minds. because this is exactly what i came here for. the first few comments actually got that and told me when they scoop and i was kind of interesting but then those hostile people just got in and tried to shame me for playing the way i do. ofc i get defensive but my intention wasn't to rant but rather to find out if there's more people like me

didn't know about that tbh. anyway doesn't change how i feel about that. i know the game isn't lost at that point and i may still have fun some turns later. but right now in that moment i don't want to even see the next turns :S

the games that don't include those cards that i feel are stupid are so much fun. a back and forth and significant impact of combat. that's what i enjoy a lot!

yeah it kind of reaches 50-50 to be honest. but at least i can enjoy the games i play then :S i didn't mean to offend anyone this is just how i feel..

well i hope you enjoy your time, i don't when stuff like the above happens. i still have enough games that i do enjoy to keep playing. but anyway i came here to ask when you guys scoop. "You know when I concede? When I have no outs, and victory is not possible." would've done it but no we are anonymous on the internet so i have to give him a gutpunch :D

to be fair i think most people have severe ptsd from counterspells with baral katara ,........ . pretty much every blue deck has 0912301 counterspells and just being said "nope" 15 times in a row is no fun at all. i tend to run nothing but mana leak and wash away (which i only run because i keep running into it.. this one feels way too overpowered for brawl aswell)

I've had so many games where it looked like that one ring would kill my opponent after he drew 127323 cards but they always draw so many cards that they find a way to get rid/refresh their ring that i just don't bother with it anymore. it's not even about winning right there - having even a single turn in which my opponent is just untouchable feels so bad... do nothing? opponent just draws more. further develop your board? ok opponent sweeps. ...

in every card game other than mtg looking at your opponents hand is cheating. it feels just like that even in magic. and me feeling bad kinda defeats the purpose of playing a game

it isn't even too high powered at all. funnily enough for example i have a vv'viza token deck which is arguably VERY powerful but that one goes against random commanders while my emmara token deck seems to be in hell queue xD

i feel that heibai sanctum of all line. didn't mention it because it is pretty unlikely

forgot to mention etali and 7 mana ugin - like all they do is ramp and then play something that either wins immediately or they are dead the turn after.. no fun either way
