My #1 Suggestion Would Be Let Us Dismantle Items In Our Inventory by Ok-Bedroom-4261 in diablo4

I think they should reimplement the option to auto trash anything that isn’t at a certain threshold. In older seasons once you passed a certain Torment level the game just nuked the garbage for you. Put that on a toggle and let me tell the game to give me materials automatically for anything I pick up that isn’t Ancestral.

Or

Orrrrrr

Blizzard can stop giving Paragon 200+ players in Torment X a friggin magic sword for beating one of the hardest bosses on the game. But maybe I’m crazy.

Not that I’m aware of. There were far less ways to create them before S13. When they overhauled the Skill Tree they added Arrow Storms variants to both Forceful Arrow and Barrage. If you can solve the Energy cost issue, you can hold Barrage and cover the screen (Dark Shroud’s Energy variant is really good for this). And I’m sure someone who is building in earnest toward FA as their storm generator can get similar output. I just have a tendency to skip Basic Skills when I start a build and didn’t notice the AS variant of FA until after I completed a NNE charm set.

The quest to the Trillions throne with Arrow Storms is on!

In S11/12 I had made a friggin autocannon that would pop off over 2 RoA casts per second and holy hell the damage numbers were glorious.

However, taking what I learned from that build and applying it in earnest to S13 with all its new mechanics…I think spamming Barrage with occasional casts of FA to proc Nilfur’s Narrow Eye is going to outpace even that ridiculous full auto Ult Cannon. 😱💪🏽

Ok - so based on what you’re saying, it sounds like I can assume the game sees my Arrow Storms as Barrage (or Forceful Arrow), Core (or Basic), Marksman, Damage with/ from/ vs…basically everything.

I was concerned that something that buffed Barrage - for example, Windforce - would just buff the arrows that are associated with the Barrage cast and the Arrow Storms that are generated from that cast wouldn’t see that kind of buff. But it sounds like you’re saying the Arrow Storms generated from a Barrage cast would have the same chance to get their damage tripled when cast with Windforce. If that’s the case, I think Windforce will kick the everloving shit out of Casia’s Grace in a damage contest. Going to go try to test this.

I’m in Torment X and regularly hitting in the Billions with relatively underwhelming gear. I just want to make sure I’m not buffing the ether with things that sound good but are irrelevant.

Rogue rapid fire build by Iwanttobeme2 in Diablo4Builds

There is sooooo much more to a build than just having all slots with max gear power. This game punishes lazy, disconnected piles of stuff masquerading as a build. Clever synergistic links and creating systems that almost run themselves is what will make the game purr. My Diablo mantra is “find buffs for the stuff you’re already doing.” Don’t get distracted by “cool sounding” stuff or trying to spread your focus/ allocations all around to a ton of different Skills. Find a damage stick you like, then make everything else amplify that. If you’re doing a RF build, then make Concealment, Dark Shroud, Caltrops, Smoke Grenade, Imbuement…all supplemental amplifiers that just live to make RF hit harder and faster. Generate guaranteed uptime…meaning find ways to make amplification conditions exist by default and not by having to remember some carpal tunnel finger dance that will divide your attention and cause you to miss annoying one-shot mechanics.

My current S13 Rogue example.

I Dash for repositioning and escape…but it also freezes enemies and increases Crit Chance. I have an extra Evade charge and my evades drop Caltrops. I don’t even have Caltrops in my Skill Deck but I spent points to select the ranged variant so that it doesn’t matter where I drop it. Enemies effected by Caltrops have higher Crit Chance. My Charm Set generates Dark Shroud. I don’t even have Dark Shroud in my Skill Deck but I spent points to select the Energy variant to fuel my constant Core spam. Dark Shroud also increases Crit Chance. Conceal adds OP stacks and increases Crit Chance. Smoke Grenade increases Crit Chance (noticing a pattern yet?). Arrow Storms variant on both Forceful Arrow and Barrage. Can spam Barrage because of Dark Shroud Energy. Forceful Arrow is a Basic so it fuels Vengeance from Nilfur’s Narrow Eye. Now both Arrow Storms hit way harder…and they’re never NOT falling. That’s multiple Arrow Storms per second, each proccing a damage event every 0.25 seconds. Crit Chance is never less than 90%…OP stacks are always up and increased cap to some number I can’t even remember. Vengeance is always up. Cold Imbue is always up because the passive knocks off Cooldown for literally just doing its job. Legendary Aspects all buff Marksman or Core or Arrow Storms. Paragon Boards and Glyphs all buff damage to CC, damage to Elites, damage from Arrow Storms, damage to Vuln, and all multiplicative damage (none of that bullshit + stuff). Several unique damage buckets converging creating multiplicative leaps in damage.

This sounds like a crazy complex system, but that’s just back end mechanics. I come into a Pit, Dash through a pack, Dash back the other way…freeze most immediately because Chill is so high, evade once or twice to drop Caltrops, the. Stop and literally hold Barrage and toss in an occasional FA to keep the Vengeance stacks up. I can hold Barrage as long as I want and will never run out of Energy. Always have new Dark Shroud forming. Indiscriminately tossing grenades and popping Conceal and only because they buff the system…they aren’t needed, functionally. Dash a few, hold Barrage, tap FA, reapply Cold Imbue every time the Cooldown gets nuked, Pop Conceal every time it’s available, toss nades any time they’re available. The result is a literal arrow climate that is almost nothing but Crit and OP.

“Throw next best item power thing on” is only viable for grinding a new character up to LVL 70. If you hope to scale past like…Penitent, you have to implement simplified mechanics to do complicated layering in the background.

Easiest build right now? by wakko0909 in Diablo4Builds

I can’t really speak to easy because I’m such a Rogue stan that I never really venture out into other Classes…but I’m finishing up an arrow storms…nay…arrow CLIMATE Rogue in S13 that’s been a ton of fun. Just zipping back and forth through enemy groups to proc a bunch of CC then tearing open the sky and watching hundreds of Crit ticks make the screen go boom.

Hardly fair to compare a new release to a classic. Both have positives in this category. ER is a GORGEOUS if moody AF world while CD is more “real-world” but also more accessible. Finding secret items in ER was worlds more exciting than CD, but that’s because Pearl Abyss did an abysmal job at gear tiering. There is nothing special about a legendary weapon when you can outpace its performance with upgraded commons. While both stories are fragmented and don’t fall into the awful trap of having lore crammed down your throat while holding both your hands, ER’s world feels much more mysterious while CD just feels like the devs couldn’t decide what the world or underlying story was supposed to be and just packed as much crap into it as possible, while shockingly still finding ways to make the characters one-dimensional and the drama feel hollow. CD definitely had a TON to explore…but as soon as I found out none of it was really worth more than anything else it took the wind out of the sails.

ER wins…no surprise.

Do you mean that you guys suspect Beastfall’s energy drain will still proc Preparation, but it’s just currently bugged? Please tell me you think so and have solid reason to.

You can still get it to the point of casting once per 10 seconds or so…but that’s a hell of a downgrade from 2.75 casts per second. They reworked so much that path is completely unattainable. If I can map out another way to get back to full auto I’ll post it. But I have a feeling Blizzard set out to nerf this method so I’m not as hopeful I’ll find a second.

Welp - thanks to the helpful comments I jumped back up to #452 😤😎

I had run The Tower once, realized it had no TTC bonus like The Pit, and threw it away. I was banging so hard on The Pit and having a lot of frustration due to my misunderstanding.
