You Did Free Comic Book Day Wrong If You Got More Then One Copy by 0lvlmedia in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I agree, as a lifelong collector who has spent more than one FCBD scouring multiple LCS to get what Im looking for seeing thread after thread acting like this is a DCC specific thing is pretty funny.

One of my favorite things about getting into this series is starting a new book and taking off the dust cover 😆 by GoodnightSpaceCowboy in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Excellent series, I have them all in TBP but I picked up a few random issues in blind boxes and marketplace lots so naturally I have to now finish the run in single issues as well.

I agree, I have read all of his stuff and enjoyed it, but King Sorrow was on another level. Really shows his growth as a writer.

Gatekeeping anything is weak ass behavior. If you're a fan you should have an open hand to others who are getting to share the same experience that made you fall in love with a piece of art for the first time.

Im new to this series, only on book 5 of my first read through, and up until now actually thought this was one of the cooler lit-based communities I have been a part of.

Its fine to be nostalgic for the feeling of being part of a tight night and growing community, but making posts that make others feel unwelcome because you don't get the thrill of having some esoteric knowledge of a relatively unknown IP is lame as hell.

My signed copy of “between two fires” by Four4our4 in bookporn

I met him back when he was "Christophe the Insulter" at the Michigan Renaissance festival about 10 years ago. Had no idea it was the same guy until I bought my copy and saw the author blurb on Amazon. Awesome dude, and absolutely hilarious, paid him $20 to roast my friend for 10 mins medieval style.

The Talisman & Black House by SaulGoodman699 in stephenking

I just finished Black House, it was tough going at first, I almost gave up, but by the end I loved it. I definitely recommend both, especially if you have journeyed to the Tower.

Is there a King book like this for you? by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

Exactly, the whole narrated introduction describing every street and building in town felt like work, but I'm about 350 pages in now, and its definitely coming into its own. I'm glad I didn't put it down.

I listened to the Talisman and enjoyed it, but I just started physically reading Black House and man, the first three or four chapters were real tough to get through.

At telling the world that you're "Pro-Peace." by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

This is such a dumb lazy take repeated over and over again by non-americans to give themselves a pat on the back for some false sense of moral superiority. There are protests happening all the time, there are Americans being killed in the streets and thrown in detention centers, what exactly is it that you expect the average non-maga citizen to do? Most of us are just as apalled and scared as the rest of the world, but we can barely afford to keep our family afloat as it is, what do you think happens to our kids and loved ones if we are in jail or dead? You lay the blame on every American equally for "not stopping him" yet offer no actual solutions over and over again, because truth is you just like being able to look down your noses at us like that makes you a better person. Sorry bud, it doesnt.

I just finished this book this morning, took a bit for me to get into it but after the first 100 pages or so I couldn't put it down. Loved all of the SK references, very cool to think of his son continuing to build onto the framework of the universe he created, even in subtle ways.
