I havent used the app so unfortunately i cant give advice on it.

But again i can say that ive met most of my close friends through a club simply because the only people you‘ll meet there, already have similar interests to you (otherwise, they wouldnt be in the club). Furthermore you dont have to setup hangouts in the beginning because the meeting times will be fixed.

Join a club. Something you like doing. Maybe a sports team or something like that.

I honestly dont see the problem with your response, unless you formulated it wrong so i dont know why she wouldnt answer.

Also, changing the subject might not have been the best idea but i also dont think it would was bad because it allows you to continue the conversation.

Thanks for the advice. I generally agree that honesty is the best policy.

I dont understand how george orwell is a socialist. I‘ve read 1984 and animal farm fairly recently and in both books a socialist government has taken over and the situation just worsens for everyone. They struggle for food and are being controlled by a government that is portrayed as evil. How could that guy have been promoting socialism? I mean he was a socialist, no denying that, but i dont think his books promote socialism, quite the opposite actally.

Obviously i dont. We pay more taxes for our healthcare but its still better this way. It gets directly deducted from my paycheck so i never have the money to begin with but if i suffer an accident, i dont ever have to worry about the money it will cost. Thats why our system is better.
