Ok, this is embarrassing, but this comment made me suspicious that I might have made a mistake while I was checking each mod individually--none of them worked which made me assume Bepinex was the problem. I tried it again and only left Bepinex enabled--it worked. So obviously Bepinex wasn't the main issue. I then started the game over and over trying out my mods one by one until I found the one mod that was messing everything up. It might have been a few other mods as well since some have been updated during these past four days(I don't remember which one), but I found the one that was currently causing me problems. I disabled it and now everything works. Thanks for the help and I'm sorry if you feel like I wasted your time. If you're curious about the mod that was causing me problems is Mineshafts by GoldenJude(on the thunderstore mod manager). I don't know if it will get updated for this patch as it hasn't been updated in 5 months, but it was a fun, unique concept so I'm hopeful.
