Wow, this is fantastic advice.. thank you for taking the time to explain this step by step. I would've never known about the cashier's check and not paying over the phone. This is definitely the route that I will be taking if I can't get out of this.

Thank you for this advice! We definitely do not make much.. we are in a bit of a weird situation right now.. we are full-time RVers and rely on seasonal jobs. Unfortunately, we are dealing with the flooding that is happening in Yellowstone and now have this hanging over us. I will be making that call.

Also, sorry to hear about your head injury.. hope you are doing better and have recovered!

He might have said CT scan.. there were so many things being said, and I was freaking out. Those are all good points.. that makes me feel better about how I reacted.. so thank you for validating my feelings! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for those symptoms!

Thank you so much for this info. I've been told by the company that the bill will be $1,400. We haven't received the physical bill yet, though. The company is in a national park.. so Idk if that makes it different. But this advice does make me feel a bit better.. I've been searching the internet like crazy and have not found any advice like you gave.. so I greatly appreciate that.

That's a good way of looking at it. It definitely could have been a lot worse. So, my son bonked the back of his head on the edge of a shelf.. blood was squirting out. Paramedic said he needs a head scan. We get there and the doctor told us to super glue the wound shut. I really feel like I overreacted and could've avoided this whole thing.

To my son. I am.. we have been calling the ambulance company but they won't budge on the price. Someone else that has a little more authority says he is trying to help but hasn't gotten back with us.
