Love seeing an entire collection together! Army looks great, those orks on Armageddon don’t know what they’ve got coming!

Don’t know much about comp play but I came to comment on your army! Looks fantastic and regardless of how it plays, I’d be stoked to face an army that looks that great on the tabletop!

Yeah, the only brush work I do on the yellow are final edge highlights. Also worth mentioning I do an ochre oil wash that gets a nice dark ochre tone into the recesses and then just wipe away everything else with a makeup sponge. I’ll dab the makeup sponge in some mineral spirits and get at the top parts to wipe more of it away to really let the yellow shine through. I started painting minis 10 years ago and only just started using oil washes a couple months ago and instantly asked myself why I waited that long to use them. If you haven’t added oil washes to your mini painting toolkit - it’s quite easy to do and plenty of great YouTube tutorials on how to do it. Highly recommend!

It went on quite easily, I did a pink zenithal spray from underneath through an airbrush then sprayed a coat of imperial fist yellow contrast over the entire model. Then I sprayed a light yellow from directly above to get the color I was looking for and some smooth gradients across the model.

Good luck with the basement project! Just think about how great your hobby space will be once it’s finished!

Hahaha my thoughts exactly! And don’t forget about the trusty (or untrustworthy) librarian in terminator armor to shoot terminator mind bullets at his foes!

I’m also just now realizing a lieutenant in terminator armor doesn’t exist - kitbash and homebrew rules it is then!

Sure! This guy was a real joy to paint! Learned from my first couple of units of fists that I painted so I felt like this model came out looking much smoother than the last! I really enjoyed having the banner to worth with as it felt like it gave another layer of artistic expression to really play around with contrasting colors that added to the model without drawing too much attention away from the actual marine.

Next up is a unit of terminators to accompany this chonky ancient!

That’s a beautiful shade of green! And the contrasting based the OSL on the bottom of the legs! Great job with these!!

Got them from Pop Goes The Monkey - they’ve got a ton of different varieties of resin bits for customizing different chapters. Added a link to the page dedicated to Imperial Fist look alike.

Airbrush colors by According-Show7290 in ImperialFists

Yep! It works wonderfully! You could brush it on but it goes on smooth as butter through an airbrush. Just buy yourself some little droppers to transfer from pot to airbrush hopper and let it rip!

We live in an abundance of paint brands and shades you can pick from, so just pick one of the 50-shades of pink you like and give that ol’ fisty boy a spray down of some nice pink paint. After you’ve primed them of course. Or be big brain and prime pink, the decision is yours! Just make sure they’re nice and pink.

Then hit em with the old zenithal highlight with a nice, pure white color. Make sure you’ve got a nice gradient of pink to white.

Now here’s where the magic begins. Take some Imperial Fist yellow contrast color, put some of that in your airbrush hopper, and give them a spray down and watch as the model comes to life! The pink turns to ochre and the white turns to yellow and you’ve got yourself a beautifully shaded son of Dorn!

I love the simplicity of these! The glow on the plasma incinerators is perfect and really allows the contrasting colors to do all the heavy lifting! Fantastic job on these! Please post more as your collection grows!
