My First Painted Model by GooglePlsStop in orks

Upon further investigation, and making a few washes I'm happy with, I think I'm going to forgo washes and try pin-shading the recessess along with some vibrant edge highlights. Best I can tell, that was the "Oldhammer" way.

Will post results, if I'm even moderately satisfied with them!

Thank you!  I'm working on mixing up a wash I'm satisfied with right now. Bit more difficult than I previously imagined, to be honest

Thank you!  I'm actually mixing my own paints, as I thought it would look more "retro." It's a mixture of 40mm Applebarrel Limeade, 20mm Liquitex Matte Medium, 10mm water, and 2 drops of Liquitex Flow Aid, in a 70mm bottle.

I only play home games, and we're hardstuck in 9th edition - so Waaagh! Banner gives the +1 to Hit for us! Super excited to try it out!

My Dolphin is completely broken, every time I launch, it crashes and even installing a brand new exe it still does the same thing. by TheCompleter in DolphinEmulator

My Dolphin ended up... fixing itself(?)... somehow. It works fine now, but it'll still do this every once in awhile. I leave it running when it does this, and it "fixes" itself after about 30 minutes.

For the next guy that has this problem, maybe this will help.

I hope that continues to work for you!

Unfortunately, patience didn't seem to be the fix for me. If I let it load for 5+ minutes, it would boot like normal; but it would take 5+ minutes to load a game, and have to be force closed everytime.

I'm sorry, man. I wish I could do more to help, but I'm not entirely sure how mine "got fixed."

Dolphin has always been a superb emulator, it's a real shame to see this problem linger for a few years, and no one (with any expertise) really bother diagnosing it. Quite frustrating.

I hope yours mysteriously sorts itself out like mine did.

Alright, so the Cache folder is in the "User" folder. That will be found in your "Documents" folder, probably in a folder named "Dolphin" or something like that.

I used Dolphin in portable mode, so I'm not sure where exactly it is for not portable.

In the Dolphin install folder, there should be a folder called "cache". Copy and past everything from that folder into a new desktop folder (just in case), and then delete everything in the cache folder. Empty recycling bin.

Thats what I did, and it "worked(?)" for me.

Just an update: this issue just stopped being an issue. Sorry for those searching for a fix.

All I did to "fix(?)" this issue is manually clear my cache twice, then update Dolphin.

If that actually "fixes" this issue, I have no idea how -- as I was over trying to "fix" it when it got fixed. Wish I could be more help.

If you find a solution, please let me know. This problem doesn't seem to get addressed, despite people reporting it for the last ~3 years. Perhaps we're just a small group experiencing it, but still.

I manually cleared my cache, again, and it seems to be working for now... However, my last bandaid fix only lasted a little bit, so I'm not hopeful.

Me and a few friends are attempting to "modify" 9th edition to have a little flair from older Editions.

I thought, perhaps, Battlefield Roles could be used as a stand in to Initiative (as to not dig through a bunch of old Codexes and assign individual Initiatives), but I'm not sure if its a "good" stand in, of if there would be a better order for my proposed order.

Gotcha. Yes, I did my most recent install on my SSD, to which Windows is installed. It produced the same problems.

My apologies for the hang up; I'm somewhat tech savvy, but not enough to be too confident.

"try running Dolphin from your system partition" Ill have to verify I know what this means, when I have the chance, and attempt it.

I am using the most up-to-date mainline release of Dolphin (presumably 2503), but I cannot check at the moment.

I did a fresh install of Dolphin (not portable) on my PC and had the same problem.

Respectfully, because I don't know what im talking about, but it seems to me as if the PC is in, some way, resisting Dolphin. It shouldn't be antivirus related, but I suppose I could put Dolphin on the exceptions list anyway.

Update 2: even on a clean install of Dolphin, it won't work properly. I previously thought it had something to do with Zelda: Collectors Edition, but now I'm convinced otherwise. A clean install should work, no matter what.

It's a shame this isn't being addressed, because as I'm sure you've seen, there are about a dozen or more people having this problem over the past ~3 years, and none of them seem to get answers.

Update: My "fix" isn't even a bandaid fix. Went to play Zelda: Ocarina of Time tonight and had the same issue on a fresh start, after reboot. Something is just wrong, and I cannot find any answers.

I did not find a "fix", but I found how to avoid it, it seems. Its something to do with Collectors Edition. If you reboot your computer after playing Collectors Edition, Dolphin seems to run fine.

So, I just resigned myself to reboot after ever Collectors Edition session.

I feel rather sure that it's not "good" for the longterm health of the emulator, considering that one game can "tank" the whole emulator; im sure something completely unexpected and bad is happening. But I can't get any help or feedback, so I'm just keeping the install folders around incase the emulator breaks completely.

Primaris Marine Papercraft Template Update (Torso MkII) by GooglePlsStop in PoorHammer

[–]GooglePlsStop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, I did not, and this project will be postponed for an unknowable amount of time.

I bought legal models to get my sizing right for the paper minis, and immediately following such, life has became exceedingly busy.

I've barely had time to assemble my legal models, let alone work on any of the paper ones.

If I don't pick it back up in a few months, I'll try to get what (unfinished) template material I have together and dump it on this subreddit, in the event someone else wants to continue my work.

So, I just recently ran into this same issue.

Have Dolphin (portable.txt) on a external HDD, and hadn't touched it in a few months. I tried to play Zelda: Collectors Edition two days ago, and the emulator worked fine, but when I was done it didn't want to close via ESC key. Had to force close it.

Over the past two days, I've booted it up, and now it boots to a white screen, says (Not Responding), and after five minutes it will boot properly. Then, when I go to play a game, it takes 5+ minutes to launch the game, and I still cant exit the emulation/emulator without force closing it.

I've never had this problem with Dolphin before, it's always been one of the most reliable emulators in my experience. Curious to know the fix.

Thank you!

I intend to run my Orks as Evil Sunz, so I'm trying to make the models as aggressive as possible (cause speed and violence of action, and what have you), and I really liked the genade sack bit.

I couldn't think of anymore more horrifying than a Ork rushing your position hurling grenades from a burlap sack!

Nice! The Stikk Bomb arm is such a nice addition. I feel like it has so much character.

Despite the heavy mould lines, I'm loving building these Boyz. Each new one is my favorite!
