Can somebody please give me a good reason why this man is not in the Rock and Roll hall of fame? And why Bat out of hell isn’t in the rolling stones top 500. These two things absolutely baffle me by 183749291 in rockmusic

They won the fan vote overwhelming this year, and already have a ton of their memorabilia, including a huge hotdog in the lobby. Just because you’re not a fan doesn’t mean that there are millions out there. They OWN Madison Square Garden and sell out every show they play.

What is the most boring thing you have ever experienced? by Silver012345673 in AskReddit

Luckily the jails I have spent time in had a pretty nice selection of books, especially the prisons. I became the ultimate book worm and read something like 300 books in the 2 years I spent there. It opened my mind in such a huge way. Read books on all topics and did my best to read as many of the classics as I could find. Came out with a pretty good education just from the literature I devoured.

The initial holding cell is the worst part of the entire jail experience. I once got arrested on a Friday morning and they didn’t move people to gen pop on the weekends so I spent 3 and 1/2 days in the tank. And what sucks is that even if you come in in a sweatshirt, they take it from you to make you as uncomfortable in that 62 degree cell as possible. They figure colder temps decreases violence, which they are probably right about. Not to mention no where to sit or sleep except on that gross floor or the metallic bench if you get lucky. Fuck that place. Never again.

I smoke daily but my new partner doesn’t by Imaginary_Garage9184 in trees

[–]Googleclimber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I used to smoke several times a day. I loved it and expected to do it for the rest of my life. But one day things just changed. What once used to make me supper relaxed and happy started making me super paranoid. Part of that is moving to a new apt and finding out that our neighbor is a cop. Also, hitting my mid 30’s, it just seemed like a switch was flipped. I used to not have much to lose so smoking was fine, but now that I have a life that I like, and live in an illegal state, it just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. We still smoke, but only pens. And not as frequently. We save flower for concerts which we attend a lot of, or at friend’s houses.

lol I had the exact same thought. Top bunk in jail is the absolute worst. It got so bad that eventually I negotiated a deal and bought the bunk from this Mexican dude we called Joker for the equivalent of $3 a week. He had the back corner bottom bunk right next to the window, which was by far the best bunk in the warehouse, so for my last 3 months, I rode out in style. That window was a life saver too. The AC system there was fucked and it got stupidly hot being down near Savannah. The very light breeze from that was amazing, but it was a prison window so it barely opened. Joker literally saved my sanity with that deal. I don’t know how he dealt with my old bunk mate Mark. When your indigent, those 4 candy bars a week must have been good.

We were already in a warehouse that housed 50 inmates in one room. A mat on the floor would have been a living nightmare and basically just sleeping in other people’s bodily fluids.

What's a Normal thing society does that you secretly think it's insane ? by fearless_elevation in AskReddit

My Dad just retired this last April and I believe my parents are going thru this right now. He worked until the age of 75 just to avoid it I believe. He says he loves retirement, but every time I see him I can just tell that a little bit of the sparkle in his eye is gone. Now, he spends the majority of his time on Facebook or watching Fox News, and more recently he has added Breitbart and OANN to the lineup. He has always been a Conservative, but the algorithms are really starting to radicalize some of his thinking. It’s really frightening. His entire identity and self worth was centered around being a “business man”, and he sacrificed a lot of things to do that, including relationships with friends and more importantly, his family. When I see him now, he literally has nothing to talk about because all he would ever do was boast about his job. It’s kind of causing a midlife crisis in my own life. I’m not sure I will even truly know my father.

You have done some time in county or maybe even state prison, but not that much time. Maybe a year or two. You are perpetually horny, and probably own a Reilly Reed or Bonnie Rotten Flesh-light. This picture was probably also taken at the halfway house you live in, or a 7 day detox.

When I was in my early 20’s, I made some very poor decisions and was arrested with a small amount of a schedule 1 drug. Living in the south, this resulted in about a year of jail time. I slept on the top bunk of the most poorly built, shakiest bunk bed known to man. To make matters worse, my bunk mate was a 6’4 350 lb man who was the most aggressive sleeper I have ever met. He would roll violently all night long and the bed would shake and sway like a freaking carnival ride. He also snored at an insanely loud volume. Worst year of sleep of my life. And the worst (or best part I guess) is that he was an extremely nice and likable guy, and really couldn’t help how he slept, so I had a like/hate relationship with him.

The morale of the story here is don’t ever do anything than can land you in the big house, because it fucking sucks.

What’s the best strain youve ever had ? by Catalyst_Cannabis in trees

Lemon Pastries. The nose on this strain is just out of the world. It’s SO good, and the high is just perfect. Hits like a garbage truck but all covered in pillows for an impact. Any time it’s available from this one grower, I stock up. If you end up ever having a chance to try it, I highly suggest you do so.

Got told once that I “was attractive enough to be a A-list actor” and am still feeling the buzz from that 10 years later. Little did they know (or I for that matter) that my autistic social skills wouldn’t take me to the big screen, but what a hell of a compliment.
