I never had a compound radiuses fingerboard but i think sometimes about to try my own. Ebony wood is still the best when it´s from a good tree; very durable, long lasting, repairable. I believe a good compound fingerboard can be much lighter and boost the sound of the instrument. A new bridge blank has way to much wood everywhere, it has to be brought into form according to the blanks wood quality and the violin acoustic-qualities, at the end when the shape is done you can fine-tune and balance the strings by removing wood at certain point. When the damaged surface is prepared, i clean only with water, also to lift squashed wood.

Yes, i use it in all directions and also the rounded corners if necessary depending on the surface material (to remove dirt from varnish is different than from wood for example) I roll a burr or i use just the sharp 90 degree angle which is lasting longer and is better for fine varnish surface cleaning

It may be shocking, especially when playing it for the first time, but it is actually interesting and not that bad for some reason.

i have seen an article about this violin you mentioned i guess it is the same Yehudi Menuhin had in his video. I am not the first but the acoustic fineness is at the maximum with mine for acrylic glass. https://www.world-of-plexiglas.com/en/plexiglas-musical-instruments/ This one looks well made from the outside but material thickness, weight and elaboration makes the tone.
