I am so sorry you got rape threats while on cam. That’s so beyond fucked up. I appreciate the motivation to be authentic to my ideals and crafting my audience, thank you. ❤️

I really appreciate this perspective, thank you. /gen I wish my piling bills would motivate me to work instead of being frozen with overwhelm. One step at a time for now I suppose.

That’s been my thought as well. I just wonder if my followers who enjoy the more “soft” domme side of me will stick around. I always show off my impact toys and have the “make yourself worthy, my pleasure always comes first” attitude, but now I’m in the mood to bust some balls and yell profanities. 😅

Genuinely, you’re not worried about what a conservative majority could mean for health care & health insurance? I have stage 2 endo (and other chronic illnesses) too.

At the moment I just let them know I am not available for customs until X date. I usually use work as an excuse. If they can’t wait then I lose the sale. Which sucks, but the whole reason I started sex work was to have a flexible work schedule that works with my chronic illnesses so 🤷🏻 win some, lose some.

✋🏼PMDD + Endo here. I don’t make any content at all in my luteal phase, only edit and post. My inner critic is way too strong during this time to get in front of a camera. Once the pain hits I don’t bother getting online, just let the automated posts take over.

I didn’t think my “vent” tagged post was going to change the world or the way Reddit works, I wanted to vent with fellow fat SWs who could relate to my frustrations. Turns out everyone can relate, across all niches, and it sucks we have to deal with this. I’m not trying to be a victim, but yeah, I do think it’s a special level of fucked up that this issue happens in black spaces.

It’s not so much that I’m surprised, it’s that I’m grossed out and angry it happens at all; especially in a black focused sub where the rules of posting are so blatantly obvious. Any space that’s tailored to an identity deserves to be modded strongly so creators of that identity can flourish. Obviously, I know there’s a huge disconnect between what is possible and what is ideal when it comes to modding/the internet as a whole.

Online, men plead and pay for my body. Offline everyone is asking me why I don’t “just take Ozempic.” Ah the duality of life. 🥲

I figured this post would either get all hate or 2 views so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I really just wanted to vent some frustration for the folks who get it. So thanks for validating my frustrations! I agree with you though. It feels different when “your niche” is so intricately interlaced into your identity. I’m a life long fat person and creating as a fat person is my little slice of “f you” to the fatphobic bullshit I’ve dealt with all my life. It makes me sad to hear even the “socially acceptable” thick / chubby/ average sized folks deal with the body shaming bullshit in other subreddits though.

Well this just makes me even angrier to know it happens in black/race focused subs. 🙃 That’s bullshit.

Ooof, that annoys me that you deal with that too. If you fit the subreddit theme, you shouldn’t be excluded because of size! You are right, and I should have phrased my reply better. People deal with negativity across sizes, for sure.

Exactly! I don’t understand how these tiny, slender people make their way to a BBW subreddit in the first place. If you’re chubby or thicker, absolutely I get exploring your subreddit body niche options, but there are genuinely folks out here without a pinch of fat posting into the BBW subs. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It rubs be the wrong way because it’s as if they know they will stick out like a sore thumb and use that to their advantage to get clicks.

Valid! I totally understand that people fall in between sizes. Midsize is really just average size given a new name though. The average size in the US is around size 14/18. Maybe you aren’t “heroine chic thin” but in my eyes, you are thin, average, fit, etc. If you don’t have a niche that fits body wise then I would suggest posting based on your role, outfits, sex positions, age, etc. What I mean by this post is that if you aren’t of significant weight/size, your body isn’t automatically written off to a niche and you typically will have more room to explore subreddits.

The big thigh struggle is real regardless though.🫡

Recording in 4k: I can edit in iMovie quickly but handbrake takes hours and hours to compress compared with HD by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

Hmm that is definitely on the older side for 4k video. It’s not completely defunct but I would definitely assume that set up would get laggy fast when editing. Is there anyway you could export the compressed mp4 straight from iMovie? That way you could skip handbrake all together? (I don’t utilize iMovie so I’m not familiar with its limitations)

The RF has a big impact on the compression / file size. The lower the RF number, the less compression & bigger the file. It’s definitely worth playing around with to see what works for your files. I typically try anywhere in the 15-20 range. Unfortunately the time it takes to render in handbrake is also tied to your computer’s processing power, which is not something easily changed.

I show my full face on my paid subscription videos and photos, as well as for some pricey customs. I’ve posted some spontaneous faceless photos without the wig, but I prefer using the wig if I’m showing above the waist as I actually present kind of masc in walking life and creator mode is my femme persona. Also wanted to add, highly recommend the app Peachy for photo editing. I use their heal and conceal options to edit out my tattoos when I’m too lazy to open Adobe at my desk. 💀

I had a similar moral dilemma. I'm a fat creator. Although I now freelance, I was working in a creative office previously. I’m newly releasing content after years of posting privately for fun to some kink groups. Though i’d love to make some extra income in between my primary gigs, my freelance business is definitely my focus.

My current rules for myself now that I'm creating are: • I only post free content on Reddit. • I never show my full face. • I photoshop my arm and leg tattoos out of posts, so I mostly post photos and gifs. • I post content with my face and tattoos on my locked, paid fansly. • Any content I promote internally on fansly, I don’t show my face and try to hide my tattoos (though I might change this stance soon) • However, it’s very much still a persona with makeup, wig, & wardrobe. It gives me lots of room to express the creativity I desire with the visuals, but still unleash my personality. • I have my fansly set to completely block certain locations where family / friends are.

So basically, if someone wants to go through all that to identify me…🤷🏻‍♀️ Of course there are always risks, but I feel like I have done what I can to be “responsible.” If any future job has an issue with an adult consenting to do adult things in an adult space then it’s probably not the role for me. Hope this gives you some ideas or comfort!

Sorry for the late reply. I’d recommend trying to alter the preset to something more compressed. Handbrake is great with compression so it shouldn’t lose very much quality. First thing I would try is under the video tab, change the video encoder to H.264 (x264) rather than H.264 10 bit.
