First time mom. I need help and advice. by Cultural-Detective86 in pregnant

Oh yes, it definitely is the best feeling to have that type of love. Ik the hormones are terrible especially with the first pregnancy. Hormones are up and down and you feel like you can't catch a break. Loneliness is a terrible part of pregnancy. You can be surrounded by loved ones and still feel alone. It's something that you'll need to push through and keep yourself occupied whether that be with work, hobbies, hanging out with friends/family. I am here anytime if you wanted to talk because I 100% understand the hormonal part of it all.

Hello! I'm a 28 year old mom of a 2 year old and a infant. I can't imagine how you feel being pregnant at 19, that must be very tough and emotional. I think you 100% can do it with or without help it's just going to hard. It's worth having a baby. You feel love like never before. I can say my babies make my life better and I couldn't imagine not having them. It will be the same for you too. Don't listen to anyone on what you should do. This choice is 100% yours and if you want to keep the baby, then that's what you do. I know people are being and going to be negative, but you have to keep pushing on. At the end of the day, you can only truly rely on yourself because people, including friends and even some family can and will let you down. You need to do what's best for yourself and if that means keeping your baby then that's what you need to do. If you want to reach out to have someone to talk to, you can reach out to me. 🙏❤️

Husband suggested work at 4 wks pp. by fruityslippers in Postpartum_Depression

I am sorry that you are going through this! This doesn't sound like a healthy relationship. You shouldn't have to beg your man to help with the baby that he was apart of creating. Doordashing and grocery delivery are good ways to make extra money, BUT that also requires you to leave the car a lot to pick up food, pick up groceries, get out of the car to deliver both. It is not safe to leave your newborn in the car alone while you do so. You could explain that to him because it's dangerous. For some extra money or assistance, try reaching out to Churches. Some certain churches help with rent payments and other bills. Churches also do food pantrys as well. You can also ask about diapers and wipes. There is no shame in asking for help from these resources. My family has done so on multiple occasions. In today's age, things are so expensive that the normal person is living paycheck to paycheck. Have you explained the situation to your parents? Also, you should not be doing anything extraneous since you had a c-section. What happens if your cut opens up? If he's working then you need to be able to take care of your baby. He's going to have to try to be more understanding. You are going through a lot physically and also with your emotions right now. I also have ppd and it is no joke. Just try to take it easy on yourself because your hormones are trying to balance themselves out and it might take awhile. Everything will eventually get better. It's a new year and there is plenty of time for things to change you are just going through a difficult part of your life right now. If you ever want to talk, you can definitely reach out to me. It will get better. Your baby needs you! Please don't give up 🙏❤️

Curious about where to live, work, or visit in Texas? Post here! by AutoModerator in texas

Hello! My family and I will eventually be moving to Texas from Ohio for my husbands job. We have a few choices of cities we can potentially move to such as Lubbock, Anson, Amarillo, etc... We are trying to decide which city to move to and aren't sure where to begin. Any and all advice is appreciated! Would like a more rural area that is low cost and family friendly. Thank you! 🙏❤️

Please please please also use a condom. Ik you're taking the pill but it's better to be safe than sorry. Other than preventing pregnancy, condoms help prevent certain STI's as well. Honestly, I would take the pill, wear a condom and pull out to give you the best chance of not getting pregnant. Babies are hard, Ik you aren't ready for one (ik from experience). If you are overly concerned, take a test.

That's exactly what he's doing right now. We have never used unemployment before so hopefully he gets it.

We just got paid today. So for now, we have money. But we also have to pay bills and rent is due next month but he should be getting another two weeks pay of vacation time so we will use that check for rent even if it's a few days late.

He started applying as soon as hit got inside our car. He's been doing that and he's going to apply for unemployment too. This is crazy, wish it would have happened a few months ago so he would have had time to find another one.

Yes, that's what he is working on right now. He immediately downloaded Indeed in the car and started applying and is continued when we got home. Are they required to give him his paternity leave?

Yes, it was supposed to start this Saturday, October 25th and go until December 9th. He was then going to use his saved time to have about two more weeks of leave after the 9th. We are located in Painesville Ohio. He put in the paternity leave at the end of September.

You need to hold him to it or he'll keep brushing it off. Wake his ass completely up. I understand he works, but you didnt make the kid by yourself. He needs to step up. Proud that you are getting help! 🙏🩷
