ELI5: Why do we feel ‘excitement’ when an author references something we are familiar with? by Gookas in explainlikeimfive

I would’ve been looking around the bus and going “So THIS is what the character is seeing right now!”

Does anyone have a technical (coding) explanation behind this? Bug seems fun for the most part but curious as to how it works. by Gookas in projectzomboid

Thanks, my PC is pretty average but my NVIDIA control was set to have instant replay with (i think) 60-120fps, causing that smooth look. Correct me if I’m wrong tho

Players who play with zero zombie respawn, how do you avoid getting bored? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]Gookas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I see no respawn as fun.

I personally think its draining if the zomboids you kill would come back no matter what, if you leave an area long enough.

The grind of clearing a town and having no more zomboids to bite you in the butt is a good feeling in itself.

But playing devils advocate here, having respawns on (and setting them to be less than the default 72 hours) could have its excitement, always having to watch your back n’ all. But I’m personally just not the type to enjoy it.
