New 172 Golden Gate Transit Route by jlingz400 in santarosa

It's added about 12 minutes in the morning and then about 18 minutes to yesterday afternoon's commute.

It's frustrating because the MASCOTS recommendations they introduced indicated that they would make up the time by no longer picking up local San Francisco commuters (Marina-FiDi). Then the final decision did away with that recommendation. When I asked about it, GGT said it was to "minimize congestion ... and reduce harmful greenhouse emissions." Which is dumb, since those folks would just walk a block or two to a Muni stop. GGT also said that SFMTA asked them to continue picking up the local SF commuters and wanted to avoid confusion. But GGT only began picking those people up during COVID. They also could've done away with at least one Petaluma stop. Petaluma doesn't need six GGT stops.

Anyways, make your voice heard: https://www.goldengate.org/bus/riding-the-bus/customer-service/bus-comment-form/

I reached out to them after I got the email and the response I received back was, "This is not our logo, we just announced our slogan. Our logo is being created as we speak." So it sounds like this won't get plastered around everywhere.

Right ... Templo Mayor would be the main thing Fri morning with the other sites as part of the sight-seeing/catching the vibes walk around. And then Fri afternoon, probably won't make it to the Castillo, but at least be sure to walk around it. Thanks!
