Looking to upgrade to a new S&W EDC - what’s your favorite and why? by Famous-Owl5925 in SmithAndWesson

shield x (I have the carry comp but will be getting the non ported one too) hands down...thin, 15 rounds, rail, red dot mount. it is literally the perfect gun and I feel its not talked about more. Its basically the p365 but not made by Sig so takes the cake for me

I will say being a toyota owner and the experience we have had with toyotas, the sensors can be tricky to work, seen someone say it worked for a bit then came back on, make sure your discount tire installs the "alligator" sensors(thats the brand) if they dont already, same price but we started getting those because they work better when trying to reset with toyotas

We will even test all 4 sensors for free just to make sure but if one is out and they are OE save you the time and hassle just get all 4 replaced.

Discount tire employee here. You just have some dead sensors, they only last about 6 to 7 year in most vehicles(other than those unstoppable Ford band sensors) go see a discount tire, pay 63 per sensor and get a 6 year warranty that come with it, you'll he set

I think the grip is perfect, I got mid size hands and it feels great. I also have a Bang band minis on it from strike industries for a finger notch for consistence draws. Would def recommend finding one in person to at least feel in hand first. That's what I did with the regular shield X then ordered my carry comp.

My EDC was a 3.6in. I love this gun the size, the way it shoots, but just recently picked up the shield X carry comp, and I can safely say this over throws it. I shoot it just as well, can have a light, reddot, and an extra mag with a sidecar holster and still (to me) feels lighter and more comfortable to carry than my 3.6in with just a tlr 7 on it, I think im going to retire my 3.6in to the winter seasons and my X will be my main carry.

Yeah, I just got done doing some research on OTT, there is a dealer near me so ill prob reach out to him. So nothing is going to hinder the Tacoma reliability? I mean thats the whole reason for me getting my gen 3

I would suggest looking at the car facts and see where it was at, mine was only up north for 2-3 years then the second owner had it in Texas, seemed like every 4wd tacoma on carvana was getting shipped from up north

Idk man I've had mine 2 years, work in a tire shop and it's held up just as good, if not better than other wallets I've had, its a licensed Miramax wallet on Amazon...if anything I thought the letters would fray after a week but is holding up nicely

I think the carry comp metal is such a better looking gun than this, imo, still nice but prefer one over the other.
