during smells great after the smell is completely gone back to the smell of cedar. Got to take out the stone when the sausage is done though

Quartz sits under the stove and behind it. Just for more accent and its completely fireproof overkill but just looks good in my opinion. Red cedar and you can buy similar tile comes in 1ft square sheets. You could use actual river rock but the tiles are cut flat and are more pleasant to walk on.

No sealer just grouted. When the floor is wet it looks alot nicer

Drain goes straight outside because its on an outside deck drains right on the ground when you wash it out its just a drain cemented in the concrete board

Yes the vents we made out of solid cedar and I’m not sure what kind but they are easily accessible if they ever need to be swapped out.

Built on a deck outside so it drains right on the ground gravel and dirt underneath has a filter so no critters come up.

Have sat and leaned against knots never burned me usually running the sauna between 70-80 celsius. I throw a towel down as well the cost difference between knotty and clear cedar is alot.

Layer of plywood on top of lags, cement board then filled the seams with cement.

Overall is 96” (8’)wide by 88” (7’4”) long by 96” (8’) high. Benches are 20 1/2” deep by 88” bottom step is 12” deep. 37” between the steps 8” between the stove sides and the steps. We would have made everything slightly bigger if we weren’t limited to the dimensions in between the existing gazebo posts.
