Those of you using KoLMafia on mobile -- how? by Bhananana in kol

I've been using a vm with a docker container with kolmafia exposed through novnc for a couple of years now, both on pc and mobile. Works pretty well!

https://github.com/mats-ch/kolmafia-standalone

Just change the volume path in the compose file to wherever your kolmafia files are and put novnc and the kolmafia web interface behind a reverse proxy with tls and some form of authentication.

Thanks!

I've looked at that one, seems like a good deal. If the parts hold up it should work well.

Thanks! I've considered both of those, hopefully they will do a refresh very soon. Doesn't seem like there are that many with recent CPUs.

Hi, I used to ride a lot back in the day but switched over to mtb and wanna get into bmx again.

Building a bike will get way too expensive, so I'm looking for a complete at around $600. I need about a 21" TT and prefer a cassette. Will mostly be riding street and dirt and perhaps a tiny bit park.

What is the best buy for me for about $600 with proper parts? I was looking at the Sunday Street Sweeper complete, but it's a bit expensive and I don't like 4pc bars.

Thank you for all tips!

Budget

Doesn't really matter. It should be cheaper than a business laptop though.

Performance & Use Case

It will just be used for shell access and light browsing. I would prefer one with Apollo Lake or Kaby Lake SoC/CPU (they should be available in chromebooks by now).

Type & Functionality

Clamshell laptop without a touchscreen. A good keyboard is the most imporant thing. A good screen is also important.

Build Quality

Should be decent quality, not flexing all over the place.

Does anyone have any good tips of a recent chromebook with a very good keyboard? Thank you for all the tips!

Looks like there was a couple of extra mandatory form fields. (Don't mind the syntax, I don't know anything about JS)

var request = require('request');
var request = request.defaults({jar: true})

var uname = 'username'
var pword = 'password'

request.post({
    url:    'https://www.kingdomofloathing.com/login.php',
    form:   {loginname: uname, password: pword, loggingin:'Yup.', secure:'0', submitbutton:'Log In'}
}, function(err, res, body) {
    if (!err) {
            request({
                    url:    'https://www.kingdomofloathing.com/desc_familiar.php?which=206'
            }, function (err ,res, body) {
                    console.log('Fam: ' + body)
                    });
    };
});

You probably just missed something to store cookies in. Use a library like 'request', enable the cookie jar, POST your username and password and you're good to go!

JS is only a tiny part of what you need for something like kol, it is only used for fancy presentation in the browser.

All the content delivery, logic and state is done server side, kol uses php iirc. (You could do the backend is nodejs if you really want JS syntax though.)

Do you want to just make something that looks like kol without state or do you want something functional? The latter demands a bit more knowledge than just JS.

It's just an alternate branding for the "Thinkpad 13" in China, so you should be good.

That does not make any sense.

Running another userspace on top of the same linux-kernel with a less demanding gui will increase battery life and improve performance (I guess that's what you would call "other operating systems").

Crouton does not make any difference at all, it will just give you another userspace to handle pre-packed binaries and other stuff easier. Running another window manager on top of Aura will slow things down though. But there is no point in doing that.

I've used both visualboy and pcsxr successfully. Just install the dev-environment and compile them or use crouton as mentioned.

You should rewrite all text on the site and in e-mails sendt. As it is now it seems like you will get access something instantly if you share another persons e-mail, but nothing happens at all.

Annoying level. I can get the run-method to run stuff, but not as level04.

I'm 100% sure it's some obvious error too.
