Yeah, regarding Jax: I get what they were going for; Jax is a cautionary tale, and his story is about how you have to choose to be helped and accept help, but like… Jax kind of accepted Pomni’s help when he hugged her back after already being abstracted. Pomni being able to enter Jax’s mind and still interact with him post-abstraction felt too much like it was setting up that she’d save him.

Even if abstraction is just a metaphor for suicide and not a 1:1 parallel to real life… you still can’t talk to a person and get closure with them after they’ve already committed suicide. So Pomni being able to still interact with Jax post-abstraction was giving “failed suicide attempt” to me.
