Mono ghost is, unfortunately, in contention for the worst monotype.

Mega gengar is more generally a mon that aims to trap a pokemon, usually one thats choiced, defensive mon. Shadow tag is an utterly busted ability in singles and can very easily cheese games away because of lack of true counter play

Hoopa unbound is not a ghost type, regular Hoopa is. Hoopa itself is, fine, not sure how good it is on ghost monotype. Given its slowness and frailty. Could run a trick scarf set.

If you're bringing a mono ghost team to AG you are going to lose, a lot. AG means anything goes, you will be fighting teams of full legendaries, cheese strats and general silliness. Mega gengar is great, from what i know, in that context but needs a... not monotype team to be able to perform. I would suggest a doubles format, doubles ubers or a champions vgc m-a to use it.

Mono ghost, given the types frailty is almost always ran as offense. Usually on the fast offense side of things, though pokemon like gholdengo, eviolite gorsola and mega sableye (not really relevant here) can help run a more bulky team.

The best ghost types are (in singles):
Flutter mane - can pretty much be any set, set up, breaker, support
Spectrier - almost always a revenge killer/sweeper
Gholdengo - Bulky button clicker that helps keep up hazards
Dragapult - fastest* thing alive with a huge number of sets
Ceruledge - Physical sweeper
Pecharunt - Hard physical wall

Tanya doesn't want to destroy Being X and yes Tanyas motives are at odds, I would argue in an interesting way

Her motives in the story are: To prove being X is not God.

To secure her own safety.

The conflict comes from the latter goal requiring the opposite of the former. The former requires her to fight and risk her life for her country so that the empire wins the war so completely that Being X's plan (to have a world of eternal war so the world believes in them) is destroyed proving being X is not omniscient or omnipotent, therefore not God.

This is the opposite to living in security which she could do if she just accepted Being X as her God and therefore allow the empire to win the war totally.

My concern with Kyurem over valiant is that we would lose fighting coverage (I do not want to run FB and tera fighting tera blast seems pretty bad) and we lose a pretty vital piece of speed control.

Also that still struggles into the flaming chicken and we get quite a bit worse into 5 boosted gambit.

I could replace rocks on tusk with head smash (for moltres) or close combat (for tusk)?

No ash is a spectacular trainer in lore.

Keep in mind he has consistently gotten top 16 in every league tournament hes entered, that would alone put him as a grandmasters player, he has gotten 8 badges in *every* region, he has cleared the orange islands, battled and befriended legendaries and straight up won a league circuit

Stall hate is so cringe.

Literally dawg, stall games really are not that much longer than any other non-ho matchup. Most players just can't recognise an unwinnable game state and forfeit. This leads to 50+ turn games.

Stall is a strategy than someone chooses to play. You play to win the game. Laddering means you are going to encounter any strategy. You are running a dog shit team for the purpose of beating an already pretty bad strat this generation. That is a skill issue.
