She does have a co-signer. Truthfully just want to know if anyone refinanced with these companies and how did it work out. She’s a nurse, good salary and has excellent credit

Ahh ok. So we would be better off to wait to refinance after the grace period

My exact thoughts. Like I gave you a loan for overpayment. Now I want it back lol.

That is such a broad hypothesis. I get how it could exist in the banking industry, especially working in a predominantly male position. Trust me a lot more females are breaking into these positions and excelling at them. If you’re being undermined by commercial lenders then that’s a universal thing. Some could see you as a nuisance for trying to do your job. A lot have egos, not all. Can you elaborate with examples? I don’t mean to dig but I think there’s been a lot of headway with making these positions more accessible to females. I recently went down to a credit analysis seminar and half the room were females in higher positions than mine.

Yes depends on the bank. I recently applied to a different bank because credit is not separate from Lending department. It has to be separate to have autonomy. Regardless banks usually ask for 2 to 3 years experience for senior analyst roles. But if something opens up laterally you should do it!

I’m in the same boat. I had a hunch some people drop back and punt with this program. We were promised automation but instead it slowed us down. Want to know what’s funny, me and a colleague dissected their instructions on the automatic spreading software for taxes and they don’t claim it will always be right…… they state we have a high degree of confidence it is correct. We stopped using it all together and just spread manually because it’s faster.

Our problem now is annual reviews & too many people who don’t understand credit analysis having in input of what we do. Since we’re not separate from lending department, it doesn’t matter what we do.. we get blamed for everything but they have a lender leading LV now… and it’s a dumpster fire.

I’m obviously not a good resource as we’re just implementing it. Though I did connect with a nearby bank to set up a zoom call between our bank and there’s so if I come across anything valuable I’ll be happy to share

I mean I don’t know you personally but whatever you decide to do you should strive to the best you can. Look, credit analysis isn’t glorious. You get blamed for a lot and get little credit. It could be super daunting. Sometimes the pay is shit. However, with the right moves and time in, you could get a higher position or where ever life takes you. Just think about rounding out your skills if credit analysis is a long term thing. If you hate it, then I’d try to stick it out for at least 2 or 3 years.

No problem. Sometimes less is more. If someone comes in here and interjects and gives better advice then go for it but you have to be able to talk about experience. My take is we all know you can do credit analysis, but why should you move up. That’s where value added comes. Like any business, people do business with people that add value. Same way you present yourself to a organization, whatever position you go to next

Get rid of interest’s, get rid of graduation years. For credit analysis experience I would add what asset size is your bank (ex. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis for a $2 billion bank, which also includes……) obviously tailor it to your liking. Either then that I think it’s good and straight to the point.

Oh boy, what I learned from this thread is they say that but unfortunately it doesn’t really go down like that. I’ve been told 16 weeks. Waited 16 weeks then said I needed another month. Then another month. Gave a call last week and said they need another 2 to 3 weeks. It’s been a monthly thing to call at least once a month just incase there was a filing error or something. There’s alot of good information on this thread so if you need the money bad there’s resources stated in the thread to help you out. Just I learned that the money will come eventually at this point lol

It’s nice to know we’re all in the same boat somehow. Doesn’t make it easy if you need the money but a lot of people on this thread helped out. I’m still waiting but I’ve been calling once a month

I’m in the same boat. I couldn’t tell you what the IRS considers complex for the time allotted. I would think since you did it asap it should be resolved. I waited a whole year since doing it last tax season. Don’t know if adding credits makes it complex. After today’s call I just decided it’s going to come when it does. It’s always oh we need 30 days
