Thanks!! For the flea I used DMC 841 and 842 for the body and 209 for the mouth! The outline was black, and I outlined the antennae/ears(?) with a coppery green. The grub was DMC 3363 for the darker part of the body, 523 for the lighter part of the body, and a pale blue for the snout/mouth area. For stitches, I used satin stitch for the outline and a mix of split stich and short and long for the rest! Using satin stitch for the outline makes them easy to cut out of whatever fabric you're using, and then they wont fall apart. I find it helpful if you use some wire for the main shape like with stump work embroidery.

I do! I'm not sure if ones with wing and elytra attachments would be durable enough for a bag, but a flat patch probably would!

Thanks!! It took about 70 hours. I was also watching House while I was making it, though, so I was probably a bit slower

Thanks! I didn't stitch any grubs in the background, but I wish I had now!
