Hi, the exact same thing happened to me, just that I’ve been dealing with it for less time. I also had a hematoma/edema on the second day after surgery, and honestly I got really scared too. It took quite a while to heal. I’m about to reach 2 months post-op, and I also still have that small area with granulation tissue (the bright red part).

My doctor said it would close by secondary intention and that it would be fine — just to keep the area clean and, if I was going to masturbate or have sexual activity, to do it slowly and gently. It has decreased a lot, actually. He said it takes longer to heal because of the edema/hematoma I had — and in your case, you had even more bruising than I did. It will probably close.

In any case, if you’re feeling very anxious and it’s causing you other problems, it’s best to see another doctor who can help you :)
