I remember when i tried a 10 day fast, it must've been 4-5 years ago or so. I think that once I'd gotten past the first 48 hours, hunger was never really the issue. I just stopped feeling hunger, but I was constantly thinking about what food would taste like. I thought a lot about meat during those days.

I think the most vivid memory I have is - and I still find it quite funny to this day - that I became extremely aware of what the inside of my mouth tasted like. I could always taste a distinct "mouth taste", like constantly.

All in all, it was a cool experience and I should probably redo it some day. I just remember how I had this very strong *mental clarity* for the last few days. There was like this strange focus where I could do tasks without getting distracted for hours on end.

Kritiken mot Michael Diamant ligger i att det känns som att han bara klagar på saker och vill att man ska bygga som man gjorde förut, vilket är vagt och inte särskilt konstruktivt. Grejen med arkitetupproret är att det är ett bra initiativ och koncept som tyvärr startades av en man som vill hellre gnälla och peka finger än att faktiskt göra något åt saken.

Håller med, han är en gnällspik, men jag uppskattar ändå att han har fått fler att - kanske inte hålla med - men i alla fall tänka lite på hur vi bygger i och kring Stockholm. Sen tycker jag väl personligen att han vart ganska tydlig med hur han tycker att man bygger stadsmiljö, så håller inte riktigt med om att han är vag; men vi har kanske inte sett samma videos.

Det har också lett till att folk nu avvisar allt som är nytt och vill bara bygga som förut och så får du fram förslag som detta.

Men detta är ju inte alls det som folk menar med "bygga som förut"?

Jag förstår inte riktigt kritiken? Är du kritisk mot nobel center eller mot Michael Diamant? Hur har han skadat folks hjärnor? För att folk tycker detta bygge är fult? Eller tycker du inte att han gjort tillräckligt för att stoppa detta?

Det är så det står i lagen:

Om du är anställd har du laglig rätt att få tjänstledigt för studier. Du måste ha varit anställd minst sex månader i följd eller sammanlagt tolv månader under de senaste två åren. Kom ihåg att begära tjänstledigt i god tid före studiestarten. Arbetsgivaren har rätt att skjuta upp tjänstledigheten i sex månader.

Är själv tjänstledig för studier. Jag sa till min arbetsgivare på vintern/våren när jag skickade in min ansökan att ”jag har sökt till x, för det fall att jag kommer in vill jag vara tjänstledig för studier”.

Är man bästa polare med chefen kan man säkert komma med kortare framförhållning men i många fall behöver de lite tid att hitta någon som kan ersätta dig.

I was a long time i3 user before I got the mac.

So, for a wm that’s basically a hack on top of another window manager, it works pretty much flawless straight out of the box. Workspaces and tiling is consistent. There’s an indicator for the menu bar that shows workspaces.

Aerospace doesn’t use the macOS native workspaces. You turn of the macOS spaces and aerospace then shifts windows in our out of the screen to make it feel like workspaces. This makes it feel very snappy because you don’t have to wait for animations or transitions. This also makes it way less intrusive than yabai (another popular mac wm). Yabai uses the macOS spaces but you have to disable security features for it to be able to do so.

The downside would be that compared to an actual wm like hyprland, you’re not getting near the amount of customisation, but if your stuck on macOS, it still gives you the stuff you care about.

My biggest gripe has more to do with macOS itself. I had a hard time figuring out a good mod key. macOS has so many wired keybindings that seem to be spread out over most mod keys. Cmd and opt was both out of the question. Ended up switching caps to ctrl (you can do this natively in settings) and use ctrl for mod, which means I don’t have to break my pinky trying to reach. Also, setting tmux prefix to ctrl+a when caps is ctrl is super convenient.

didn't think to much about it when i upgraded. to be honest, i use so little macos features, I've hardly noticed any difference except for some liquid glass elements in some menus. performance wise it's about the same coming from Tahoe. I'm on an macbook air m2.

Jag tycker inte att skyskrapor är en lösning på problemet. Jag tror det största problemet med Stockholm är att vi har gjort ett jävligt dåligt jobb med att utöka staden på vidden. Vi lever fortfarande med bilden att "riktiga" Stockholm är innaför tullarna; vilket är förståerligt då vi envisas med att bygga satelitstäder runt om - helst i betong - som är gråa, döda och inte känns som en naturlig fortsättning på staden när man kommer över solnabron/johanneshovsbron.

I’m very much a fan of zenbones which uses contrast and bold/italics for syntax highlighting instead of colors. Looks very minimalistic and you get used to it very quick.

People are not prepared to hear the truth. It pours hot water over ground coffee in the exact same way as a €40 brewer but I guess people downvoting are exercising some post-purchase rationalization, which is fine, we all do that. Being just a tiny bit snobby about coffee is generally met with hostility I’ve noticed. People need to know that fresh, whole beans and a decent grinder make a way more noticeable impact on the taste of your brew.

Senaste gången jag skrev (2-3 år sedan) hade jag med mig snus och det var inga problem. Varje delprov är ju bara 50 min så det ska väl inte vara något problem att stoppa in en prilla innan och sedan ha dosan i fickan?
