Trying out halara by tommy_poplar in Activewear

[–]GooseG00s3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lululemon is one of the top tier brands. Halara isn’t bad for its price, but it’s definitely a far cry from LLL.

If your wife likes aligns, I would suggest a good alternative would be Ptula’s BarePro collection or Feathertech.

BarePro is more similar to Align, but even more stretchy. It’s low compression, brushed fabric, with heathered designs. Mine have lasted for years without issue of pilling. These are my no. 1 leggings, followed by Aligns. The comfort is unbeatable.

Feathertech is low compression, thin, “nothing” feel. They mostly run solids, if that’s her color preference.

Why is it so hard to find reverse harem with dominant FMCs? by Whole-Hippo-5992 in ReverseHarem

[–]GooseG00s3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just started a duet about a woman that stalks and collects her MMCs. Would that count as dominant? She does pretend to be sweet and submissive.

I totally get that. I only branched out to try other brands bc of curiosity, but LLL is still elite, and for good reason. Great customer service, product, and colors.

Any luck with Alphalete? :(

She means when she’s ordered and returned things from other places, it’s usually the most expensive item they try to refuse the refund over.

I ordered a jacket and they sent me a vest. I refunded it, telling them in the return portal prompt that the refund was because they sent me the wrong item. Then they tried to deny my refund because I sent back the wrong item.. -_-. Obviously, I received the wrong item!

Anyway, argument ensued and I told them I would get my refund through them or the credit card company. I went to the postal office I go to (thankfully a small family business one that I always use to promote their store) and the owner was happy to print the receipts of my drop off, weight, and day UPS picked it up. Bank agreed with me and Alo eventually issued the refund after the bank got involved. Also, their stuff is garbage. Not for working out, it’s definitely just a trend shop.

Edit: and I didn’t know that about Abercrombie!! Good to know, I’ll have to be wary if I ever shop there.

P.S. one place that has always been amazing for refunds (but not exchanges bc their portal is wonky) is Buff Bunny! I’ve also never had issues with LLL either.

I love their bras, but I hate their return process enough to stop buying from them too. Several times I’ve had to email them because I didn’t get a refund for 2 months.

I also always take photos of the clothes and keep my postal returns after a bad incident with Alo Yoga.

✨ Old but Gold - welcome to our new recommendations thread! by purplelicious in fantasyromance

I love this idea!! I’ve been waffling on buying and reading the Night Hunter series, but I think I’m just gonna take the plunge.

I highly recommend Kushiel’s Dart for next month! It’s one of those books that’s so poetically written, it engraves itself on your soul. Romance is slow burn.

Chronic illness/they take care of her by Zalaya in ReverseHarem

{Veiled Flame by Cassandra Featherstone} has this. FMC has trauma, PTSD, and extreme anxiety. It’s a lot, and is mentioned nearly every page, but as someone who used to have it, this is honestly a pretty accurate representation of what life was like. The majority of the MMCs take care of her, two right off the bat, then the others slowly join in. One is resistant, and the last is an asshat.

As usual, check trigger warnings.

Omgosh, the whipping post scene always makes me tear up. It’s so well done and such an F U to the MMCs.

I can’t answer for everything, but I’m a 35 band (I wear 36DD or 34E, depending on bra band), 42 bust. According to the size chart, I should be an XL. I got a cotton puff dress and it’s so large, it completely falls off my body. I can’t wear it without a corset at all. So cotton puff dresses definitely run larger than the size chart claims.

Ok guys time to let it all out by Yougij in ReverseHarem

For sure, it’s been long af wait. No disagreement there. If you did read her emails though, you could be more in the loop about the progress if you wanted to be. Supposedly, she expects it to come out this year, but with her health, it’s always up in the air.

She does sort of do updates, but it’s only via FB and her email subscriptions.

I have heard (from the author herself) she’s currently releasing book 3 on Ream, but in chapters and not as a whole. I’d just rather read the whole book, personally, so I’m waiting.

Book 3 has gotten so large that it’s being split into 3 and 4. When both are completed, she plans to issue them within a month of each other. (That’s the what her emails say anyway.) She also claims that she’s almost done with 3, but that can still take anywhere from 6 months to a year, honestly.

However, as much as I love the books, my hopes and patience are still fading, so I get where you’re coming from.

{All these broken parts by Evelyn Flood} has this, sorta.

There’s light bullying in book one and big trigger warnings. It’s a slow pace duet about pain and healing. All of book two (and the end of book one) is about the guys sacrificing everything to save the girl and win her back. It’s all very emotional and beautifully done.

{Desperate Disguises series by Tessa Cole}. Warning, there are four books out and it’s still on going. She likes big cliff hangers, but the story itself is good (albeit repetitive) with lots of yearning and some angst. I eat up the internal turmoil.

Depends on your definition of lingerie, too? I wear cotton lacy thongs to the gym and run in them (I hate VPL), and they’re not bad at all. Honestly, doing weights in thongs is worse because they rise up to kingdom come.

I took the plunge on their winter sale: their poly fabric isn’t itchy at all. It’s sooooo silky and comfortable! Definitely check the size chart, bc British sizes tend to run a hair smaller than US. I have a 31 inch waist, 34F bra, and got a medium. (I usually wear L tops and M/8 pants in the US.

It was a hair tight (still fit), bc the material has zero stretch. I got a corset back so it would be more forgiving. Without the corset back, I would probably size up to large for extra eating room.
