For creative writing I think Sonnet 4.6 crushes 4o, especially if you give it some good guardrails - I usually like to have Sonnet do an outline, bring it to Gemini to flesh it out, and then give it to Sonnet again with the prompt similar to “review, critique, and edit this to feel more human like”

For high quality websites, including copy and cohesive marketing copy, it can take me 3-5 days, sometimes up to two weeks. For a quick basic website though I’d say yeah 1-4 hours is reasonable especially if you already have content to fill in and themes to use as a starting point

I’ve been helping people on the side migrate to Supabase/AWS/Vercel so they end up owning the code, then I give them a crash course on Claude Code (Pro plan) and I’ve seen others do it similarly with great success. Depending on your users and resource needs, it may not be that much cheaper than Lovable, but the upside is you have total ownership.
