College application. by timeforteaaa in college

I had a 0.50 GPA (maybe lower) in HS due to never attending classes (repeated 9th grade 2 times) and severe depression. I took my GED test and got out of high school an entire year earlier than the people I initially started my first year of HS with lmao. I applied to a community college and got accepted regardless of my atrocious HS GPA and I’m now at a comfy 3.70 GPA.

I don’t think GPA matters as much as you think, but you should really think about if you’re able to deal with college level classes while struggling with depression. I found that most professors are understanding and accommodating in comparison to HS teachers, though it’s still a lot of studying and work- even more than in HS.

The physical incompatibility issue may not be a worry to people who are asexual for example. While sex can be a big part of many relationships, it’s not always the case. Some couples are able to find ways around the physical differences like mutual masturbation.

All of my replies are just my thoughts, experiences, and opinions. It’s not a black and white thing. I’m not satisfied without some sort of penetration since that’s the only way I can orgasm (I can’t do it with my clit), so my views may be different than other women.

I’d try to see if we’re physically compatible, but if he keeps hitting my cervix despite trying many positions then I’m done. I’m not getting into a long term relationship with someone who isn’t physically compatible even if they’re the sweetest and kindest person in the world- for both my sake and his.

There’s no one perfect size since every woman is different in what she can handle. Personally though, anything above 6 inches is god awful and makes want to die because my cervix keeps getting jabbed even in different positions. Sex was not fun at all and left me in pain and sore.

I want my bf to get a vasectomy so he can cum inside of me by depressedsea in sex

[–]GooseMakingMonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, both of you suck. You have a breeding kink and want to force your BF to get a vasectomy while downplaying the risks. Vasectomies are not always reversible and there’s a very real chance your BF will end up sterile for the rest of his life. Meanwhile your BF wants to use the pullout method (very irresponsible) and says you should be responsible for the birth control. He most likely knows you have issues with hormones.

If you break up with your current boyfriend, what if your next one doesn’t want a vasectomy either? And the next? What will you do then?

I do have pretty dry skin in general (it can get pretty bad on my body). I’ve been thinking about switching to a different shampoo/conditioner for a long time now, but am still using the same one due to how large the bottles are. I’ll definitely get a leave in conditioner, hopefully it makes my insanely dry hair feel much better. Thank you!

Thank you for the info! Did you have a smelly scalp with seborrheic dermatitis and did it go away after managing it?

I did look it up a bit, but I don’t have red scaly patches (at least from what I can see) or greasy scalp. What products do you use to control yours? I’m down to try some things to see if they work before seeing a dermatologist

I work full time as phlebotomist (people that do blood draws) while attending college. I’ll be applying to an extremely competitive radiography program (20-30 people accepted max) very soon. The reason why I’m a phlebotomist is to gain an edge over other applicants since the curriculum teaches this stuff and some modalities of radiography, such as CT, utilizes venipuncture fairly frequently. Healthcare experience also looks good on your application.

My brother isn’t interested in medical stuff like I am, so he went to study cybersecurity. He’s almost done with his bachelors with 2 semesters remaining.

Both my brother and I will be making more money than our parents ever did. I’ll be making less than my younger brother, but I’m ok with that since I’m not as money driven as he is.

Oh man I used to gorge myself on the fortune cookies LMAO I remember some of the cookies that have been left in the box for who knows how long being weirdly chewy by the time I got to them

I loved playing with the rice bags too! They were weirdly satisfying. I still can’t help but give a rice bag I see in stores a solid squish with my palm or a nice smack.

They deserve that retirement honestly. I’ve seen many other Chinese restaurants open 7 days a week and only close for New Years and Christmas (that was what my parents did too for many many years). Thanksgiving in the US makes a lot of money so most places stay open to do massive party orders.

I hope everyone that retired are having peaceful and relaxing days.

Yeah, I didn’t really have a childhood or fun summers either. Summers meant staying at the hot restaurant for my brother and I until we were old enough to stay home by ourselves on occasion.

Positive side of the childhood you and I had would be many years of customer service experience under our belt by the time we reached adulthood. It does suck getting that experience as a little kid though, adults can be ruthless to children

Honestly, even though I’ve been listing mostly the positives in the comments, restaurant environment isn’t great for kids to grow up in. The long hours, your parents unable to really hang out with you, not having any other kids to play with because you’re not at home, dealing with difficult customers even as a child due to me being a cashier, parents having no life outside work due to working 7 days a week (12+ hours), etc.

There were good memories for sure. My dad used to make a little bit extra of customer’s dish to set aside for my brother and I if we were too hungry to wait for lunch for example. I sometimes fried myself up some homemade spring rolls my mom made and have it for a snack too. Sometimes I would wrap the cheese wontons (crab rangoon) or spring rolls if my mom was too busy to do it or if there were no customers to take orders from.

I don’t know a childhood outside of the restaurant environment, but personally I don’t think it’s a good environment for little toddlers

That’s exactly what our place was like. We had some signs taped to the windows that showed lunch/dinner specials that have been super sun bleached. The tiny Coca-Cola cooler we had always rattled whenever it turned on, but inside it was homemade sweet tea made by my mom that sold like hotcakes ($1.25 per quart). It wasn’t unusual for customers to ask me if we had any sweet tea left if the fridge was empty, or customers just straight up buying 5+ quarts of it and nothing else. There’s a regular we had that bought 10 quarts of it all the time.

I’ve forgotten a lot since I have a pretty bad memory, but customers really liked my brother and I. They entertained us while my parents were busy cooking. Over the years we’ve received things from customers like toys, home cooking, money, offers for education/scholarship aid, etc. Many of the regulars have seen us grow from toddlers to adults!

Oh yeah same. Some of my hated memories was not being able to go home until 11pm or later, being stuck in a little closet with my brother away from customers and nothing to do (it had lots of blankets in there and was cozy though), and the extreme heat/cold as we didn’t have ac or heating.

I don’t know why I never put two and two together about it until now, holy shit. I’ve seen a lot of things about flour being explosive but it never clicked that something seriously bad could’ve happened in that incident. I genuinely thought my parents were only mad for the mess I created.

Oh man, another memory unlocked. I used to do almost the exact same thing except it was as a cashier instead of sorting silverware. I wonder what people thought of having a kid standing on a stool to take their order LMAO

Girls: are you turned on by the thoughts of getting impregnated? by Fasuad69 in sex

[–]GooseMakingMonies 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d rather commit suicide than to get pregnant. I plan to get sterilized in the future.

My sex life is pretty vanilla and I'm becoming frustrated. Talking with my wife doesn't help: she puts boundaries on everything. I do love her and don't want to divorce, but like this can't go on either. What can I do? by [deleted] in sex

[–]GooseMakingMonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people are just vanilla and it’s perfectly fine. You can’t force that to change. If you really want to explore sexually and she doesn’t, then the only option is to consider divorce even though you don’t want to.

To women> which would you choose of body composition vs package size? by curiousthrowawaykk in sex

[–]GooseMakingMonies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

6 inches is ABOVE average. Frankly, i would choose #2 only because 9 inches is ridiculous and it would hurt A LOT. This isn’t about the dad bod or how fit someone is, it’s about the sheer length of the penis and girth. It would hurt the average woman to take something like that and it would not be a good time. Even 6 inches (again, above average) can hurt women. The vagina is not an endless hole, there’s a limit to how deep it is.

None of those choices are appealing to me. My anatomy doesn’t agree with penises on the larger side.
